Mrig Vihar Zoo (Baldhauti) - Zoo in Almora, Almora Range - Almora, India

A good place for youngsters to explore the wildlife. There are 4 leopards kept there and are in good maintenance the main attraction was the bird watching area which was full of birds which are distinct from other areas. A nice place to visit with family and young kids to show them real wildlife species in the manmade environment.

Almora Zoo (Mrag Vihar) is situtated about 6 Km from Almora at Almora Barechhina Road, This zoo is in hill area & its area is medium size. it has an animals like Leopard, Bear, Monkey, Deer, barasingha ( Swamp Deer) and Rabbits. The white Deer & white Monkey is a rare one. The A good place for Children enjoy viewing the wildlife.

Only four types of Animals Bear , Monkey and Himalayan Vulture were in very pathetic condition . Deers were hungry. When we visited no one was there to take care of them.

Zoo is spread in a big area. They have 3 leopards , 1 black bear, Cheetal(spotted dear) , one male is huge in size. They also have a white monkey.

Nice destination . Love this place and animal are so good. Everyone come this place an keep enjoy.

Nice place to visit for nature lovers. Only 20 rupee ticket. Not very crowded. 4 leopards 1 named Teetu, 1 bear named Ramu, 2 rabbits, 1 white monkey, deers...etc. Must visit if passing along the same route.

There is no lion , bear although good

Release the white monkey and the owl. They are very lonely and sad in that small cage.
