The restaurant is poorly managed in terms of hygiene. I went here for lunch. First they served a small glass of masala buttermilk as a welcome drink. The service was quite good. But the ambience is not clean. They had small cockroaches roaming around. The dosa was good in taste and quantity. The sambar and coconut chutney was also quite good. The only reason for giving such low rating is the poor hygiene level of the place.
This is an average resturant. I've been there a couple of times. Once I had a friend from London and took him there. I tried their sweet lassi which didn't justify the price I paid for it. The paneer roll was okay type.
Since I visited on Independence Day, the store was decorated with balloons. The staff greeted me in South Indian Restaurant with "Mr. Idli Express" and "Thank you very much", which made me feel very friendly. Since it is a famous restaurant, I would like the south Indian chef to check it regularly without sacrificing quality. I love Idli and Dosa. Idli and Dosa was very delicious food. The Idli fry was also a little oily when I brought it to my mouth because it lacked juicy feeling and seasoning. I thought it was better not to ask for fried Idli.
Had the worst experience, ordered Dosa and when received it was cold (Even a local stall guy serves hot dosa). Taste was also bad, we felt to have watsed money after eating here.
A small packed space serving south indian as well as north and chinese dishes. They do not have a hand wash area so will have to use sanitizer and paper napkins!

Please be aware of this place. It's very unhygienic .. We ordered dal and roti and when we got our food .. cockroaches were coming out of the basket. Its not one or two ..but atleast 8 to 10. Just imagine the cooking area
Good quality food at reasonable prices, after shopping from spar and trends we landed here before leaving to hav some food...and it was worth eating here...sanitisers are available on each table and the restaurant is well organised...the ambience is also quiet good and neatly arranged tables..both for family and couples seating is available.
