A real hidden gem!! As the name says, the food definitely has that homely taste. The interiors are pretty minimal but neat and clean. Various options to choose from the Thali selection. Chonak Thali was simply amazing. Though famous for Seafood, we were surprised by the awesome taste of veg thali. The Brinjal Rava Fry is a must try, too. Highly recommended if you are looking for the real authentic goan meal experience.
Search for an authentic local Goan food ended here. I had an amazing dining experience at "Mother Recipes" in South, Benaulim. After hearing recommendations from locals and observing the crowd outside, it was clear that this simple village-style restaurant was special. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Goan King fish Thali, Goan Prawns Thali, extra rice, 2 Crab Roasts, Mudoshi fry plate, and a refreshing Kokum Juice. Every item exceeded our expectations. The freshness of the fish was remarkable, and the portion sizes were generous. The Mudoshi fish plate had around 7 to 8 fishes, and the Crab Roast was served in not less than 6 to 7 portions. What's even more remarkable is that all of this cost us only around Rs 1000 for 3 adults and 1 child. "Mother Recipe" is a hidden gem offering authentic Goan cuisine at affordable prices, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of Goa's local flavors.
If you wanna experience the taste of a great goan food thali and eat like a local with specialised dishes, this is your go-to place. Don't expect a fine dine restaurant, coz then this isnt for you. For a person who has minimum rice, I literally finished the entire pomfret thaali coz the curry along with the side dishes of prawns and squids were too hard to resist. Also, there are harmless cats who keep roaming around, but be careful if you're frightened like me. Thankfully, my partner took care of them but diverting attention. Would definitely love visiting it again and again.
Hidden gem in Benaulim, easily accessible from Varca, Madgaon, Betalbatim. Definitely worth more than a visit! Prawns fry are simply awesome. Do try the kokum soda.
Excellent Goan Fish Thali. All types of Tawa fried fish, all excellent. I prefer the local catch. Shared a fish thali and Vellew tawa fry , washed down with Kokum Soda. Thali starting at 120 to 150 depending on selection of the fish. A definite must for those who appreciate the Konkan cuisine. Coming back definitely.
A totally value for money eatery at about 10 min drive from Colva beach. Serves delicious breakfast and lunch. Menu is great with items ranging from traditional Ross Omlette, Bhaji Pav to staples like Cheese Omelette, Dosa, Idli. All at unbelievably low prices. Don't forget to ask for traditional Bun with hot coffee, very tasty. We had Bhaji Pai, Cheese Omlette, Bun and four coffees yet bill was 220/- only. Worth a visit for sumptuous breakfast. Their fish thalis are priced from 150 to 200, which is again exceptional.
We were there for lunch on 30.06.2023. We ordered 2 veg thalis and 1 silver fish thali. The fish curry was authentic native preparation and tasted yummy. The veg thali was simple and delicious. Overall a very good dining experience. much better than the fine dines around because of the quality of food and simple native preparation
This Goan family-run hotel has gained a reputation for its authentic seafood dishes. Although the decor is simple, its consistent full occupancy is a testament to its popularity. Be prepared for a wait during lunchtime due to its high demand. It's worth noting that this establishment primarily focuses on non-vegetarian meals, offering limited options for vegetarians. The bimbli pickle was the hughlight of the thali for me. Its tangy and flavorful taste added a delightful twist to the meal. If you value genuine experiences and aren't concerned about elaborate ambiance, this place comes highly recommended. The emphasis here is on great food and prompt service, rather than extravagant decorations. If you're seeking a restaurant that serves homemade-style dishes and can overlook superficial aspects, this is a must-visit spot. The bustling atmosphere further attests to its popularity and standing. With its superb Goan cuisine, reasonable prices, and lively ambiance, this restaurant is a must-try for anyone seeking a delightful Goan meal experience.

Miguel Arcanjo, the Goan delicacy restaurant at Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, is a hidden gem worth exploring. The menu at Miguel Arcanjo may be a bit challenging to decipher if you're not familiar with Goan cuisine, but worry not! The chef is always o

I visited Goa with my family for a week and stayed at the Gomes Mansion in Benaulim. It is a three bedroom fully furnished apartment with separate toilets and a fully set up kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay. Mr. and Mrs. Gomes were very welcoming
Decent AC rooms with mini balcony, fridge, kettle, wifi and other basic ammenities. Has beautiful garden with cats. Area is peaceful, market and church are nearby. The owner and his family are very polite and humble.
Beautiful beach. Plenty of shacks for food and drinks. Always seems to be something going on either fishing boats going out or watch them bringing the nets in, very interesting and traditional. What a variety of sea creatures they bring in...snakes..
Greetings :) To begin with, the staff here is very welcoming and kind. Food was very delicious, we went here on our last day in Goa and we regret not trying this place before. Even though almost all the tables are full, the service was quicker and i
