Mother of God Church - Catholic church in Majorda - South Goa, India

One of the few churches that have been renovated and repainted recently. The Church is located few hundred metres from the railway track and has roads on the southern and western side. There are two options to get here from the Nation highway NH17

Mother of God Church has been an attraction for those passing by the rail route. It has a majestic facade. A concrete covering on top of the right tower and aluminium window frames have been removed recently. The Church now looks more beautiful but an ugly steel sheets put in front of the facade is an eyesore.

This place is pretty vintage and cool. Majority of people in goa visit this place on sundays. Its usually crowded most of the time. Lots of people do hangout right outside the church to click photos. Its a hub for foreigners and Christians who visit goa. Its like a mandatory place. Really well mainted and lots of parking space is also available without much restrictions.

Majors they say us the place that all Baker's in Goa originated from. Painted white like almost all churches across Goa, is next to a railway crossing and accessible by road. It's compound is several times the actual church area.
