We had an excellent few days staying with Monu and his family in Varanasi. The upper bedroom was clean, spacious, quiet and has a small roof terrace to relax away from the bustle of the city. The guesthouse is very well situated in the old town and Monu gave us helpful advice about Varanasi and our onward journey. I would definitely go back to this guesthouse if I return to Varanasi.
Very adjacent to temple so people loves God shall enjoy staying here as the temple sounds in the room too! Monu bhai is a well educated gentleman we loved him the most. His charming little daughter and wife are too well behaved and my entire stay was like a family guest! Monu bhai's parents are wonderful too. Monu was an incredible tourguide with a lot of in-depth knowledge about Varanasi, its traditions, culture and history. He took a lot of time with us to share his knowledge in a passionate way and to show us all the wonders of the city of Varanasi. We visited many places that we would have never known about if it wasn't for him. He made us feel safe and welcome. His english is very good, so we could communicate about anything and ask him many questions. He was always very polite and friendly. He even took us to his home for some Indian tea and to meet his beautiful wife and family. We have an extremely good impression of Varanasi and highly recommend Monu as a tourguide.
Visiting Varanasi was an amazing experience thanks to our guide Monu. He is a very friendly, enthusiastic person, who really loves his city and made us fall in love with it too. We got to know the city through his wonderful stories. He knew a lot and comes across as a very intelligent and symphatic person. Monu is born and raised in Varanasi, and knows every part of town, the narrow streets and best places to eat. The walking tour, car tour and boat tour were all excellent and I definitely recommend you Monu as your tour guide.
We visited Varanasi in the end of February 2014. It was my first time when I had planned to stay in a hotel and not in the ashram of my Guru. And I was really afraid :) However, Mony Family Paying Guest House proved to be a very safe and welcome place. Nice and clean rooms, hot water, friendly family members and very inspiring meetings with other visitors. Monu is a highly qualified manager. He has got a unique individual approach to the needs of people from various cultures. We are very grateful to Monu and are planning to visit his Hotel again. Trust him and you will not regret!
A very good experience. Its a home away from home. Monu, his wife and parents are very amiable. Excellent tour guide. A perfect location for roaming around. All sorts of facilities available. Fabulous,very very tasty and hygienic food. You don't have to worry about anything if you have booked a room there. You will get anything you desire for. In a word, its simply a wonderful experience.
I was very happy to find this small guest house. The rooms are clean and colorful, the family who runs the place is very friendly and helpful, the prices are listed on the wall so you know you aren't getting fleeced (a real rarity in India), the shower is hot and they even provide free wifi and toilet paper! Everything a traveler could want, all in the heart of the city! Yay!
