Montrose Golf Resort & Spa, Coorg - Featured Reviews (974)
We had a wonderful stay at this resort. Incredible view and delicious food are worth each penny. We stayed here for 3 nights with elderly parents and a toddler. It was definitely a place to enjoy for all of us. Even the small feedback that we gave them during our stay were immediately taken into consideration. The hospitality of the staff were very good. There are so many activities inside the resort for all ages. One downside of the resort is that it is located in a secluded place which makes sightseeing a difficult one. It takes 1 hr to reach any tourist spot. But if you want to just have a relaxed and a luxurious vacation then this resort is THE PLACE.
Had a great time at Montrose. It's a nice secluded place. Lovely building. With a nice reading room. Superb view. Well maintained lawn. Don't miss their welcome drink. Staff were all very nice and friendly. Coffee tour and nature walk by Mr Bhuvan was superb. We all enjoyed the golf class. The spa, sauna was therapeutic. The villa provided to us was neat, well equipped and had a great view. Dinner area was very busy but the food was top notch especially considering we were in the middle of wilderness. Both managers we met were very helpful.
Stay was comfortable. Rooms were tidy and clean. Wifi was good and extremely good location. And especially Hotel took care of my driver's stay and food which was a surprising and that too without any charges.
The resort is in excellent location. We took mountain facing king room with balcony for 3 people (me and my parents). There are lot of unique activities which are complimentary with the resort like horse riding, shooting, ..nature walk, coffee trails, bird watch are fun... we took breakfast and dinner buffet. High tea was complimentary. The food is different everyday and there are lot of variations in the buffet. Overall it was a therapeutic and rejuvenating stay. Special mention to Preeti from the restaurant support stuff for being so courteous and helpful. Loved the experience. Highly recommended!
The resort is situated in a remote area which was the best experience for us. We live in such a place where all the times disturbed by sounds. Montrose was different experience and full of natural sound and will come back soon
A beautiful resort located in the wild, in the midst of coffee plantation. The path to the resort is sure not good and is almost a single lane , broken at some parts , but nothing that we couldn't handle . We arrived in the evening. Welcome drink was not provided and I assume it's becoz staff were too busy ( we went during the busiest season ) . I took a villa and it was pretty clean and calm . Good for total relaxation . The property has ample area to roam around , plenty of activities . The reception was very responsive and accommodated our needs quite quickly . Pickup and drop was prompt , to and fro the villa to the main building , where food is served . Food was tasty and breakfast and dinner buffet had a lot of varieties from different delicacies, a shout out to chef Mathi , good job done there . However the seating was limited and the staff was struggling to accommodate and attend to all the guests . Overall , I am quite delighted with the stay and would opt for this wonderful property again in future .
Gotta admit that the road to reach here was difficult and we were scared for a while, but the moment we entered the resort, we forgot about the difficult roads. The way they welcomed us bought so much positivity, they applied tikka on our foreheads and served us warm chikoo coffee. The resort had many services to keep their guests entertained like high tea, mini theatre, golf, spa, indoor games, night trek, bird watching session and their bonfire was amazing. They had special area for their bonfire. Mornings were different story cause the resort is located in forest area, so it was surrounded by smell of freshly cutted grass, cool morning dew drops, morning fog and chirping of birds. Their food was amazing in taste, had many options to try. They also have bar area and the staff was trained for everything. They all knew their jobs and made no mistakes. The service was fast and they were perfect in their work. When we checked out, the reception staff bid us goodbye by joining their hands which showed how much they respect their guests.
The property is good but it's not properly maintained.. food is not good. No hairdryer in bathrooms.. pathetic service. I asked for a bucket and they took 2 hours for that.. same with the water bottles. They refused to provide mineral water so I had to compromise with filter water which was not suiting me.. so we went to the market to buy the water bottles. Not at all good experience
