The first person I contacted was so helpful, but later when we reached it became the worst. It is a family business so please don't expect a professional level service. The portion of food served was of very low quantity and not sufficient. when we asked they said it is their way of serving. And they charged extra for additional food provided plus transportation, which we thought as part of their customer service. The service was the worst. Not kids friendly as the steps to the tree house is so dangerous and narrow. The lady at the premises who claims to be the cook didn't served what we ordered and when we questioned she was so unprofessional and had no communication within themselves. There were no toiletries in one room. During breakfast there were no tea served as the guy said they didn't have milk to make tea. Later after questioning they served tea which tasted milk powder.

While the property's location is favorable and the outdoor setup provides a jungle-like ambiance, I was quite disappointed with the rooms. They felt cramped and had a musty odor, and the bedding didn't appear to be clean. The restrooms were damp and inadequately cleaned, with hair scattered about. They definitely need to put more effort into room maintenance.

I was looking for a peaceful place in the wilderness for my solo birthday trip and Monsoon Retreat Ecostay was literally my birthday wish come true. Tucked away in between lush green plantations, the cozy cottages with large windows overlooking the rain falling on the jackfruit trees inhabited by a myriad variety of birds and amphibians was such a treat to the eyes. The family that runs it are super sweet and go out of their way to make you feel like home. The food is beyond exceptional. Once you enter this haven, you wouldn't feel like going anywhere else. The best part about the trip was they invited me to an expedition to the forest to study the indigenous species. It was such a thrilling and memorable experience. They even surprised me with a birthday cake and decorations at midnight. That was a totally unexpected and super sweet gesture. They have a big yoga room in their premises, a cozy little cabin for working from home, a restaurant, and an insane view from the rooftop for birdwatching. I can go on and on about how heavenly this place was during monsoons and just how amazing work they are doing with conversation of species and sustainability. You have to visit it to experience it. :)

Beautiful homestay in an amazing location with best services, definitely recommend. The rooms were very well maintained and washrooms, hygienic. Food was very tasty and they ensured they check with us on our food needs before the food time. The proprietor being a wildlife conservationist had a great knowledge on the places around thekkady and he ensured we had a great time for a day's time we had to spend in thekkady.He provided the best suggestions to make our stay worthwhile. Must visit property.

Great place with beautiful ambience. They offer good services and hospitality.

Great place. Excellent for all both couples and bachelors. Place is very close to nature. Excellent service.One room costs around 1500/- which is suitable for 2 persons. Th y have a common dining area which is very neatly arranged and maintained. You can order food with the help of them or you can bring your own and eat there. The place is not just a stay, other than its a large area holding many species of trees , animals , birds and other living organisms.

You will get a different experience and feel much closer with nature. Do not expect the kind of luxury as in a resort; but basic amenities are provided. The breakfast provided from their home was good and the staffs were friendly too.
