It's a great lovely scenic spot for lounging/sitting and taking selfies; we get there about 7Am .We saw no monkeys throughout that period.
Yeah the view is good ..but u will see less monkey only ...and one thing if ur going to monkey point please keep everything inside ur bag otherwise the monkey will robbed ur personal belongings..so be careful

Matheran is a good hill station to visit. But mismanagement at parking is at peak. We are paying 150 Rs for one day parking but they don't know how to handle large gathering and they really don't care.
A beautiful spot to view the sunset and the valley lying beyond. Overall Matheran trip is a very refreshing and close to nature experience. I personally suggest everyone to make a trip to this hill at least once in your lifetime!
Monkey point situated on South West part of Matheran. You can watch a small village below the valley, it have a spectacular view.

The name is "Monkey Point" but in fact you will find monkeys in whole Matheran. There were no monkeys around when I reached there. Then I opened my bag and had some slices of pineapple in my hand to eat then all of a sudden half dozens of monkeys appeared from somewhere :) Overall, great experience.
