Valparai is one beautiful and peaceful place for nature lovers and Monica garden bungalows make it even more special. The customer service is top notch and they help you with every requirement and the house keeping staffs are well trained. The food and tea is top notch and daily the menu changes with decent number of options. Do not miss the river walk through their plantations which is too good and also the plantation trek where you can sight animals if lucky. We stayed at the Monica Tent and they were neat and tidy and hot water available 24 hours and they have power back up. NOTE : Please make sure to keep the doors closed though as monkeys can come anytime and evening insects would be there as it is a plantation on one side and forest on the other.

This place is a good choice to stay in valparai for groups,families. Tent stay is good if going with friends but ppl in other tents can hear u and privacy is less.they got 3 big rooms which is best for families and groups.You can opt for one meal package where bfast is complimentary,the staff can prepare alakatt lunch too as per our preference and it will be cost effective. Friendly staff and well taken care from the enquiry, booking,checkin till checkout

Bungalow is located in an estate. It is maintained nicely.bunglow have rooms which are nice, little costly. Tent stay is available which have good facility, clean . Drinking tea sitting in front of the tent sitout is nice. Food is hygenic served fine. Taste is ok.

My sister visited the place as a couple. I requested the hotel management one Mr Bhuvesh to arrange a special candle light dinner and decorate their room as a surprise for their anniversary, they were very responsive and cooperative to make their stay special. Thanks to the team. Will totally recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Went there as part of our bike group ride. The ambience and the hospitality is amazing. Food here needs a special mention! The chef here has really really impressed me! I have been to a number of similar places. The difference here is there is not one thing you could complain. You will like whatever is in the menu! They also take our requests and set up the menu accordingly. I guess because we were a group. Really really awesome place to stay. The tents are amazing! Must visit place for the ambience and the food!

Our first visit to Valparai exceeded our wildest expectations with Monica Bungalow staff turning our entire vacation experience into a homely and extremely comfortable stay. Right from Ebin, the Front Office gentleman along with his young team of Bhuvesh, Cavin and a few others were so cheerful all the time in serving us, and made us feel at home. The tea garden visit and tours to other Wood Brier bungalows was worth it, a must for every traveller to Valparai. Every traveller's (especially with kids) concern would be the FOOD - but Surya, the main cook here was simply outstanding and rolled out one dish after the other with such variety, homeliness but most importantly with fresh ground ingredients. The spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner was different and innovative every single day, and it seemed like each dish was shouting out his passion for cooking to truly satisfy' each guests' palate. He truly is on par with any Five Star Chef, and that too doing it with such humility. Hats off to him! Would recommend the gentleman to be given a raise and promotion. Though the entire staff at Monica's should be kept as a team so that they can continue to promote Brier's hospitality. :-) They gel so well with each other; the camaraderie is so visible. This property is a must-visit for everyone who loves nature untouched, and yet likes the feel of a spacious home, with birds singing away from the wee hours of the morning. The lawn, rooms and porch space around the property for sipping chaai or coffee just staring into nature is Monica Bungalow's USP. Even our 4 kids were not bored simply because of the spacious property and lawns which provided them with ample space to run around or play outdoor games. Hats off to Wood Brier's entire team. It was Heaven on Earth truly! A drive through all their estates is a must!

More than 100 years old British era bungalow, beautiful scenic lanscapes all around, hear the birds, enjoy the fresh air and reliah the hospitality offered by friendly staff and management of Briar Group. Take a walk through the tea estates, if lucky can come across wildlife like elephants, bisons, birds and lion tail macaque or even a leopard.

Wonderful British bunglow converted to a hotel... Very elegant and nice garden... Truly silent space. Food is good. Very friendly staff. You can hear beautiful bird sounds ..
