This is an old market. I generally go there to buy fish. Fishes are available in a wide variety. Good quality at a decent price. But the main problem is its a very congested place and almost impossible to buy fishes and other items without getting urself dirty or being pushed by others. As this is an old market and now the population has increased noticeably so I think municipality should take some initiative to renovate.
One of the best wholesale and retail market in the town of raiganj. Situated in the middle of the town it is always busy for traders and customers. People from rural areas also come here to sell their products. Everything from vegetables, fish , meat, grocery daily consumables are sold here. But the market needs proper maintainence as it is very clumsy .
In this market you can get any thing that you from any other shop, every type of items ar avelable here. But public walking place is too much short. So you can feel disturbed for walking in this market.

Opens in the earliest morning. In the evening, it is also opened but half of the market; especially the dashakarma and grocery shops. As it's a marketplace, you would not expect cleanness.
