Must visit this place once in a lifetime. Very great architecture and very large area to explore. There is also car charging facilities for EV cars. Plenty of parking spaces available. As of my opinion you should visit after 5PM so that you can enjoy the light & laser show running over there after 6:30PM(depending on sunset). Light and laser show should not be missed.

Superb monument of ancient time . This reflects many things , like how advanced our ancestors was in fild of techniques, architecture, carvings, planning, sence of directions, measurements, bilateral symmetrical pattern and all of this with limited resources. Makes this monument as a super human level work . Also light and laser show and late evening lighting is superb . Plz do something to include this in list of unesco world heritage list .

Located on the Tropic of Cancer, this is one of (i believe) three Sun Temples in India, the most famous one being the monument in Konark. Like most other Hindu temples from that time period, this one too was destroyed by invaders. The temple has been somewhat restored and what we get to see now will make us wonder how much more beautiful the temple would have been when whole. There are some erotic sculptures though I have not included any in my photos.

Beautiful place to visit. Not very far from Ahmedabad, a good archeological structure which is very well maintained and cleaned. Worth a visit once. Also the sound and light is show is very nice to watch.

Since the renovation..... The Modhera Sun temple is truly transformed. They maintain the property very well. Gardens are big, lush green & clean! You can play or just relax and enjoy nature! The washrooms were also clean. We visited with family & had our little picnic time. You can enjoy & learn about the history at the same time! Plus, it's very picturesque! We loved it so much..... Do pay a visit...
