Simple Vibes, Amazing Food ! This place is really good for a sumptuous lunch or dinner. They have a limited menu , but simple yet delicious food. Their chicken tikka dry is lip-smackingly delicious! I also had the surmai thali with neer dosa, which was quite filling. One good thing is, you don't feel too bloated after eating here Sol-kadhi is amazing. That's the only fresh drink you get here. Other than that you have soft drinks. Do try their prawns dishes. The prawns 65 was too good. It has a limited seating space, but is comfortable. You may find it difficult to get parking near the restaurant. Staff is very helpful and quick. Great place !
If you are a Sea food lover don't miss a chance to visit Modern Lunch Home. It is situated near once upon a time the erstwhile Minerva theater, Grant Road. They serve al a carte as well as Thalis. Fish, Chicken, Mutton Thali. Various type of fish from Bombay ducks, Pomfret, Prawns, Surmai. Chicken and mutton variety also, e.g. dry, with gravy, various type of preparation. Fried Bombay ducks are a treat, fried well, crisp, hot and mouth watering. Love to have fried and crisped Bombay ducks. Don't miss a turn to fill your appetite if you are in that area.
There is good options for Non veg thali's. Apart from thali's they have Biryani, non veg dishes, rich items and rotis. They have limited seating space at top having privacy if group of 8-10 members are there. Downside seating space is good. Service is very quick. Taste wise food is very tasty. Staff is also very nice. Overall my experience was very good.
We had the fish thali and an aloo dish with loads of roti. The place was busy, food was delicious for the price, the service was quick and the other guests were so friendly! We love eating in places with local people, if you enjoy that, then you will love this!
Great manglorian food joint serving amazing fish mutton and chicken items of great quality and reasonably priced. Be careful whilst parking as the road is congested. Not a very large place but they have done the best with the space they have. Have had the bombil fry, surmai fry, prawn fry, pomfret fry and madeli fry all were fresh and tasty. Great Magarlorian food place. Small but they have made the best use of the space avaliable. Its clean and all covid protocols being followed. Have been coming here for almost the last 20 years for their seafood, tandoori, mutton and chinese food. There are relatively inexpensive with descent sized portions and real value for money. Some of their signature dishes are their surmai, bangda, pomfret, prawn and mutton Thali. Also serve great chicken tandoori and veg and non veg Chinese dishes such as fried rice noodles and soup. Also have an option of tandoori roti, chapati or neer dosa. It's a small hotel with some 7-8 tables in small space. But their food is super tasty. It's a good place for nonveg food at reasonable price. They serve fish at affordable price n It's really fresh. They have thali options too. They are specialized in typical manglorean cuisine too which includes kori roti, chicken sukka in coconut based gravy.
Please do not judge the this restaurant by its look. Most of the Comments suggests it serves malvani but the restaurant serves a different cuisine like...and please judge this place only after you have tried the seafood here... The food is great, And pocket friendly (that's what a local Lunch Home suppose to be).... MUST TRY : CRAB MASALA
