Mitra Hostel Vagator - Backpacker Hostel in Vagator - North Goa, India

I had an incredible experience staying at Hostel Mitra Vagator in Goa. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, and I quickly made friends with fellow travelers. The hostel itself was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. The dormitory rooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The common areas were perfect for socializing and meeting people from all around the world.

I had an amazing experience staying at Mitra Hostel in Vagator! The owners Vijay and Deepak were extremely helpful with recommendations of where to go whether it was for food, partying or other activities and with any other problems we had (e.g. finding taxis). All the staff working here are also very helpful and make you feel at home! The rooms are also clean and comfortable, we stayed in the private room for two people. At then end we extended our stay for two more nights as we had such a great time here. I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel.

Mitra! So many great things to say about this hostel words can't explain enough, hence why I had to lose my review virginity here From the moment my partner and I checked in, we were greeted by the owner Vijay with fresh chai after a long flight from London. Vijay and his crew made us feel at home straight away, settled us in to our room which was immaculately clean and spacious. All facilities stated from Mitra were in perfect working order (hot water, clean towels etc). Our stay was so welcoming from the staff and fellow travellers we decided to extend a few more nights! It's clearly the staff hospitality and vibe of other travellers that makes this hostel worthy and stand out in all of Goa - Vijay helped us with going to various parties, organising taxis and even exchanging our monies to rupees! The trust and friendship here is real people P.s When we extended, this hostel was fully booked (not surprised) so we had the opportunity to stay a few nights at Mitra's second newer hostel with a swimming pool and cool chill out area. The ambiance, the owner , the co-mates all are fabulous over here It won't seems like a typical hostel it's mover over looks like a place where friends comes together from different state and different countries and enjoys like a family. Mitra Hostel is the best place in Goa to stay you won't regret it ever coming here. Thanks for the best experience owners

I came to Goa for the first time and to be honest this was my first trip with friend's. There are no words that can describe my experience here. We planned to stay at many places but we just couldn't leave. We stayed for a week here and I can say without a doubt that this place and the people here are my home. Good vibes and only good vibes. Met soooooo many good people who became my family and my heart aches now as I have to leave for home. But I'll be back again.

Amazing experience here, close to all the good spots. Great bunch of hosts, super hospitable and friends from the start to the end. Definitely a great choice in the area.

Overall, it was fine. I did not like the bar area and the common area near the reception. The chairs and fans were dirty. Vijay tried to be friendly and then jokingly dismissed our complaints at times. But eventually, the fans and chair were cleaned after we had repeatedly complained. He and his friends did try to be welcoming by inviting my friend and I to a party at Arambol, but I couldn't go as I was extremely tired & uncomfortable. My friend went with them and I got to know that these people started passing comments on me and shared some unsolicited feedback too. This is what irked me and I'll also give an unsolicited but necessary feedback- Be friendly but also, stay within your limits. Don't act unprofessional and make it seem like you're joking. That's what someone else also pointed out and I wholehertedly agree with them. Not every customer will be able to deal with your behaviour, someone would prefer minimal talking and more proactive service. Working on your behaviour will take time, instead start paying your temporary managers/volunteers if they're unpaid, hire people with bonafide qualifications from hospitality industry and just focus on the hygience level please. Great place to enjoy with your friends and family. Wifi good, parking , scooter facility, filter drinking and water, balcony in dorms, AC rooms with extra fan for dedicated dorms , common area , , music place , they have a cute dog at property. Nice hospitality , very gentle manager and team. Thanks for hosting us , wanna visit soon their properties in Kashmir and Himachal
