This place is Purthu and also came to be known as Mini Goa. This is in Basohli Town of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. Situated at the banks of the Lake of Ranjit Sagar Dam Purthu resembles the beach and topography of Goa because it sometimes submerges in the water of the lake. It is very famous in the nearby region as a recreation and picnic point. Some people try to swim or bathe in the lake but it is very dangerous and you should avoid it. It offers a peaceful vibe without any kind of interference. It is easily accessible by road. If you are planning to visit here then try to bring eatables as there are no restaurants but only 1-2 food stalls with not that many varieties or options.
Place is gem for jammu but government is not bothered .. Once must take there all eatable to visit and don't forget to take swimming trunks along ! Most IMPORTANT: IT'S REQUEST TO PEOPLE PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN DONOT LITTER
It was a good experience. Place is very attractive although the activities are too less but yet it was good enough to enjoy. I think a would like to describe here that the entering road towards this place is under construction so travel carefully.
Loved the place as it is a very beautiful place to hang out, camping or bonfire. Recommend to go after monsoon or in November/ December month.

It is actually a lake created because of the Ranjit Sagar dam. You can find variety of fast food vendors. There are also some kind of water sports activities but overall nothing much to look for.
It's very nice place for traveling I like it and it's so interesting. And when anyone came here , they feel this look like heaven
