Milmar Sams - Family restaurant in Assolna - South Goa, India

When Goans tell you they visit this place, you need no further recommendations. The food was wonderful, the ambience awesome by the waterside and the service was great. Would certainly recommend anyone looking to try out local cuisine to pay a visit here. The clean sweep says it all

Sam's is one of my favourite restaurants, which I would definitely like to visit again. Starting with the ambience, the seating area is located just above the sea, so you can enjoy the view and food together. The service is on point. My favourite out of all the menu items was their homemade bebinca, which was so creamy and had a subtle sweet taste! The best mackerel I had ever tasted was here; it was of a very large size and was so soft from the inside with the proper balance of the spices. I highly recommend this place!

First of all, Assolna belt by the river is known for hosting some good hotels serving one of the best sea food. This is a place to have an amazing and yummy sea food. We went there a little late in the afternoon (about 5 pm) yet the place was open serving food, that's a plus for me in Goa at least. We ordered the following dishes and every single dish was awesome. 1. Lepo rava masala fry 2. Bombil rava masala fry 3. Modaso curry 4. Butter garlic prawns We also ordered crispy veg and veg xacuti which weren't that great, but the taste was at par. Ambience: It's right on the bank of the river so no doubt the ambience is too good, the river water isn't smelly to disturb one enjoying food sp it's a plus again. Fortunately we saw a sun nearing sunset and it was an awesome view from there (adding those pics as well for reference) The staff was very polite and friendly, the music in the background was good too. Overall one of the best hotels to have sea food in the assolna belt I must say. And ITS POCKET FRIENDLY TOO !! (Looking at the price I was surprised to be honest, the rates are reasonable) Do visit and enjoy the food.

Lovely place by the river, almost feels like we are on a boat. Service is pretty fast and the food is decent. Price of the dishes not too expensive. Tried everything from crabs, shennaiyo, admass, prawns . Decent portions :-)
