Wide area for shopping under price reduction. It's quite easy in the morning for the purchasing and billing but afternoon and evening is very hard 9am-1pm , 2pm-4pm is the usual time period on Monday to Friday. Saturday is also working day but only till 1pm . On the liquor section they can provide military quota for the soldiers who came for leave under 30 (for example 28 days) only one or two bottles. If you had 30+ leave you can purchase from there . Officers are very casual and they provide proper information for the fresher's. Site seeing points are near and waiting launch is also for the customers

Military canteen only for defense person. Vide variety in grocery and electronics, one can also enjoy shopping of electronics products of LG and Samsung brands at the New outlet recently opened. Limited parking inside the compound.

No proper parking available. You have to park along the road side which may end up in traffic violation fine from traffic police.

Huge discounts on many things. Wish they make the place more bigger.On some days rush is too much and hence its not possible to shop on same day and they give a token for a new date(we need to book).

There aren't any parking for the visitors, need to park on the road side, creating traffic congestion on the main road. Also the canteen front road has a sharp bend with an alarming blind spot. So visitors keep a vigil on the road while crossing and taking U turns. Request the authorities to consider visitors parking on priority.

It is a NCC run canteen serving the retired and working defence persons by suplying canteen stores. It is located in the Thevally Palace compound. NCC Group Headquarters Kollam is functioning in the palace building and the canteen is under the control of NCC Office.

Worst experience....not issuing grocery items in liquor card only in this canteen.....the man sitting in counter no. 2 was denying by saying that this is our rule not to give grocery in liquor card....I am a serving soldier. Bad service.... And in liquor counter, they are forcing us to take whisky/brandy when I was drawing my entitled 5 bottles of Rum.. These issues are not there in other csd canteen...kindly look into this matter to help soldiers...
