Mettur Dam View Point - Featured Reviews (152)
Very well maintained compared to the mettur dam park, would suggest to skip the park. The observatory tower had lifts but was not working, no point. Need to fix them as we are paying entry fee for no use. And the top of the tower was not well maintained, and suffocating as well.
It's a good place to visit only when the water is full. Limited crowd. No much of maintenance at view point, museum & toilet.
View point to see the mettur dam and it's reservoir
Entry fee Rs5 per adult . Lift facility available but not functioning due to some maintaimamce work. You need to climb 6 floor to see aerial view
This location not promoted. Found this place by enquiring local shop and parking management people.
Maintained well, bird's guano in tower has to clean. Garden maintenance is better. Staff not friendly and not guided properly.
Mettur dam view point gives a panoramic view of the dam, the reservoir and the surrounding areas. The entry ticket for this view point is Rs5 per person. Parking is available on the road outside.
The viewing tower in the premises is 5-6 stories high. It gives a good view of the dam. However, it is completely covered in glass and there is no ventilation in the tower.
A better view of the dam can be obtained from the viewing point next to the dam. Here the reservoir and the dam can be seen from close. This place is slightly off the main road, the approach road can accomodate one vehicle at a time only.
Glorious sight of the Mettur dam and reservoir. It's a nice experience when water is full and being released.
As you come from Mettur, you will reach the park first. They have a paid car park there. From there, the View Point is another 1 km. The View Point is a large area and you can see most of the dam and catchment area. There is a tower which has an entrance fee of Rs. 5. You need to climb about 4 floors to have a further view of the area from a height.
Largest dam in Tamilnadu, built by the British.
Mettur Dam is a very old dam in the Kaveri river. It is not busy at all. No entry fee for the view point. Only need to pay if you enter view centre

I wanted to take a moment to provide feedback on my experience. In short, I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with both the taste of the food and the pricing at your restaurant.
Firstly, the taste of the food was exceptional. Every dish I tri
