Metropolis Restaurant & Bar - Hotel in New Delhi - Central, India

Budget hotel in Awesome location! Friendly staff & clean room but can be a bit noisy at night. If you love the excitement of amazing street food, chaotic traffic and wonderful warm Indian people, this would be a memorable place to stay. Delhi train station about 500 meters up the road, and the beds are firm, towels are clean. We're Australians who stayed here 4 nights and loved every minute. Great for budget travellers wanting a true Delhi experience! Recommended.

Unfortunately this hotel has slowly degraded over the years. The rooms have never been painted in my ten years of staying there. Once the restaurant was the place to dine but it has had its owners drain money without improving anything. On my last visit even the plants around the restaurant had been neglected and turned brown. My last visit in July 19 was my last. New staff and managers made me pay fir my stay even though I had paid via Agoda. But worse still they did not resolve this error afterwards with Agoda. Nowadays there are better places to stay in the area.

My experience is based solely on the food and restaurant dining experience. I have not stayed here but definitely plan on doing so in future Delhi visits. I have been here 3 times in total on different occasions and each time has been a pleasure. The food is also absolutely FANTASTIC (arguably some of the best non-veg around). The butter chicken in particular is superb! The staff has also been welcoming all round. The food is well priced - I'd say it's on par with restaurants of the sort. Ambience is also pleasant. It seems sort of calm despite the rush of Delhi being all around. For someone in the area - I'd definitely give the restaurant a try.

Great services, staff and the experience. It is easily accessible as it is near to rk Ashram metro station and The Food was Delicious... Edit: Again visited on 3rd January 2020 I really like the Beverage's ,I ordered Fratelli red wine with some snacks and mutton at dinner. I enjoyed that night on roof top restaurant with beautiful atmosphere. That night was FANTASTIC.

an excellent boutique hotel. Clean spacious rooms, friendly staff. It certainly is one of the best hotels in Paharganj area, plus its close to the metro, which is a huge bonus. I didn't get the opportunity to try the restaurant though , maybe during my next visit there..

Me and my friend arrived at the hotel on a rainy night at 8.00 p.m. after making a reservation through agoda. The manager tried to scam us by saying that our reserved room is already occupied and there is no similar room available. He offered us a room with much higher price. This was our first visit to India. I have to say, this made a very bad impression in the back of our minds.

One of my favorite hotels in Delhi, simply for the price is great, for room value. Restaurant on terrace feels good and like a haven in noisy Paharganj. You get to enjoy the craziness of Paharganj, while at the same time have this restful abode and your own mini world. Do enjoy their German " Witty Bro " Wheat beer; the Sula red wine if you are a foreignor, and their vegetarian zucchini pastas!

Gone down hill ... This review is about the restaurant. I quit staying at the hotel years ago as there are much better and cheaper options nearby. Sadly what used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area is also facing the same fate - and not because if the food (which was tasty) but because of the service. They had only one server for the entire upstairs, so needless to say the service was slow. On top of that, they had no cold beer, and only white wine and Royal Stag whiskey on offer. When asked about the warm beer, the guy shrugged and said talk to the boss. I saw two other tables leave due to the same issue. They don't really care ... And have let the place run itself into the ground. Check out Leo's about 3 doors down. Much better place to have a cold beer with your meal.
