Metkut - Maharashtrian Restaurant in Thane - Thane, India

Delicious Maharashtrian cuisine! There are typical dishes on the menu which you won't find in any generic restaurants. The ulta vada is an interesting twist to the vada pav. Everything, from the curry to the condiments tastes fresh and flavorful. We had the metkut special thali, veg kurma and ulta vada. Can't complain about the service, and serving time was also really fast for us. Prices are reasonable, but it's worth noting that the quantity of the food items is lesser than most restaurants. It might help to order an extra dish or two. Great experience overall. Worth visiting to try great Maharashtrian food.

All items in the Thali were tasty. Quantity is more than enough for one person. Had to wait for 15 minutes for the Thali. Ambience is mediocre. Service should improve. Talking about the main item, the Metkut, it was awesome. As per the quality, taste and items, the rates are reasonable. They also sell maharastrian snacks at the counter. There is another seating area upstairs. I'd highly recommend the Thali.

It is a pure restaurant in Thane which serves maharashtrian food. Test wise food is not up to the mark which generally maharashtrian food is there. Parking facilities are available near the hotel. I like their services and atmosphere.

Rajgira Puri and upvasachi batata bhai was really yum. Also they have options for fasting. Higher recommend to everyone.

If you are looking for authentic Maharashtrian food this is the right place to come. Located just off the main road this place should not be hard to find. The ambience and setting is really nice. The staff is very friendly. Service is quick as well. They have all the Maharashtrian dishes available here as well as a good range of combo meals and Thalis too. Only note that this is a veg restaurant and they do not serve non veg food. They even have a good variety of fasting food at this restaurant. Everything that we ordered was presented really well and tasted even better than it looked.

We were thoroughly disappointed with our lunch at Metkut. We ordered the Sol Kadhi which had a strong after taste, which was duly replaced by the staff. Having tasted Sol Kadhi at other restaurants and at Metkut earlier, clearly this batch was on path to be spoilt. For the main course too we ordered Mix Bhijane which was also getting spoilt. The staff were kind enough to take it back and not bill it. That said, we don't expect two dishes going bad to be served in the first place. The jackfruit cutlet was very good and is must try, the ukhdiche modak too was freshly made and tasty. Overall nothing really awesome or as we expected.
