Mercy Hospital - General hospital in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

The hospital reception staffs are worst. Also the management staffs are so careless . My patient was realised in 8/11/23. After completed the billing process i got refund 11 thousand something rupees. They confirmed me the refunded amount will be transfer in my bank account within 7 to 10 days. But still 28/11/23 i m not receive the refund amount. I already contacted with them 3/4 times. Always same sentence they had repeated. I don't know when i will receive my refund.This hospital staffs only money minded.

Hospital founded by Dr. Buntain on 14th Jan 1975. This is a missionary hospital centrally located at the entry of Park Street. A huge building of 6 floors and ample space for setup. However this hospital need maintenance on high priority. Staffs are cooperative except few. The admin needs to have better monitoring. Food quality is very good except the chapati. Rooms are spacious (private rooms on 6th floor). Overall with few renovation work this hospital can be one of the best hospitals in Kolkata. Had a bad experience with two on duty nurses (morning n afternoon shift) rest all nurses who has taken care of me were good and very professional.

Extremely worst and poor management service I have ever seen. Never expected such worst service. The nursing staffs are all very much bad and rude. They don't serve oxygen or keep in ventilation(C.C.U.) even when the patient is about to die if the guardian of the patient is not present at that moment. I have lost one of my close relatives due to this hospital's worst caring service. I will never recommend anyone to admit for treatment in this hospital.

Last week my wife is admitted in mission of mercy hospital excellent service sister are too good. All of the staff members are very good in behaviour as well. Thank you mercy hospital for this kind of service.

Worst : I recently had to take my mom to Mercy Hospital , Park Street , Kolkata for what turned out to be an extremely distressing experience. My mom required immediate medical attention, but our experience at this hospital was far from what we expected. Upon arriving, we were shocked to be asked for a whopping Rs40,000 upfront before they even evaluated my mom's condition. We were struggling to gather the funds, and this initial demand only added to our stress. As my mom waited in the ward for her turn, To our dismay, two doctors walked by, ignoring her worsening condition. We overheard hospital staff members making insensitive comments right in front of her. They seemed more concerned about the payment than her deteriorating health, saying things like, "Mareez ko marta hua chord diya ,marr jayega tab intezaam krenge ka kya paiso ka ,khyaal bhi hai inhe "Why bother when they haven't paid yet? Do they even care?" This kind of behavior and approach to patient care is deeply concerning and unacceptable. It's disheartening to witness such a lack of compassion and professionalism in a healthcare facility. We believe that healthcare should prioritize the well-being of patients and their families over financial matters. This unfortunate experience highlights the urgent need for improvements in the healthcare system in West Bengal.

This hospital has no mercy. It is 3rd class hospital I have ever seen my 40 years. 1. They will knowingly do delayed processes to extend the stay and hence charge on room. They will knowingly do delayed one test per day out of multiple tests told by doctor. 2. The technician doctor who came for my echo test tells me repeatedly in Bengali to turn head this side, when my hand is tied to short saline channel. He doesnt bother and started arguing. 3. I told them to give veg diet, they kept on giving me egg. 4. Nurses are careless and controlled from reception, very strange. Nurses dont know when to conduct which test. 5. In ICU only you will get daily fresh dress and sponge, not in room. 6. Attendants are not allowed with patients, no matter patient get giddiness in bathroom and falls down and dies. As I was having severe pain after cathedral removal hence felt situation like this, somehow I survived. 7. Harmful Bio-waste of hospital, patient food plates, patients and attendant are seen going in same lifts. 8. They earn like private hospital and doesnt maintain anything. Doesn't provide even soap in bathroom. Attendant who is already harassed will go insearch of soap for patient. 9. Last but not least insurance desk will wait for all reports to come to initiate cashless process, unlike other hospitals. Other hospital will quickly raise cashless query to concerned TPA on the initial diagnosis of doctor. In case my there were already few reports arrived.

Worst hospital. Please don't visit because it's a completely a waste of time. No doctors available in emergency. My brother was having severe dehydration we went there at around 12 am, they asked us to wait for 5 minutes but took almost 1.5 hrs and after that refused to take the patient as on call doctor who was supposed to be on emergency duty over there was not present and not even responding to calls. They even didn't provide us any prescription and just said to leave as no dr is responding to calls . Necessary action should be taken against this .

Nursing Staff is excellent and dedicated. Housekeeping is very good. Doctors are professional and gave confidence to the patients. Please keep up the good work
