MEIPHUNG Northeast Bar and Restro - Restaurant in Baga, Calangute - North Goa, India

It's been months that me and my friends have eaten multiple times in meiphung, didn't got to sit down and appreciate in written as we were travelling here an there. So I want to share our experiences, been away from home and getting to know about this place is a blessing. Everything is perfect here, getting raw king chilly as a compliment was just amazing beef and pork curries are out of the world. Friendly environment and such kind hearted owner and their staffs. One fine evening one of my friend got unwell and couldn't join us for dinner, getting to know that, they prepaid her some hot soup and boiled curries in addition. This place is rightly a home away from home. You cannot miss this place if you're northeastern and is in Goa. I'm dying to visit this place again. Hopefully very soon

Amazing north eastern food which is something unique in Goa. Ambience is basic and nothing fancy but the food is excellent.Must try their mussels , prawns and Chicken Karpaw. Brace yourself for some spicy food. They customize your order as per your requirements.Also tried their Berry mocktail which was so refreshing. Owner Livingstone and the hotel staff is super friendly and courteous.

My favourite place in Goa. You get authentic Naga food which is delicious. The owner is a lovely person. You definitely have to try it!

Excellent and delicious NORTHEAST CUISINE. PORK with Snail was the real treat. Prepare so well and so tasty, how people should serve their homeland food. They were very generous with the quantity as well best quality. Best pork in Goa.

Wow! What a refreshing change from the usual places I have visited. Super cool host - Livingstone and his family run this place and it's amazing. The food is great! We ate so well that we had to take 15 mins to get up from the table. But wow.... Loved the experience and loved the food. Definitely gonna come back for some more and try the seafood. Tried the NagaPork Curry and Beef green thai curry... Loved it! Do visit ! !!

Lovely place.the meat is tender and lovely fresh side dishes. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Great hosts. Things you need to try there. Beef salad Muscles Prawn fry Try this place out you are in for a treat.

So lucky to have found this place among such an unexpected location. Was craving for some delicious pork and their food satiate it completely. Was welcomed by smiling face of Mr. Livingstone and a cute server. Ordered somked pork stir fry as a starter which was so yummmm! Was perfectly cooked blended with spices and herbs. And then our main course was a surprise too. We ordered smoked pork Naga curry in which they gave us two big sized ribs with bamboo shoot (wasn't expecting ribs at all). The curry and meat was delectable. A must visit for anyone who wants to taste Northeastern food in Goa.

Amazing food! Must try the Deep Fried Prawns, the Ho Malaeng Phu, the crispy fried aubergine and pork curry! Loved the beef salad too! Prepare for your tastebuds to be on fire because the food is SPICYYY!
