Wonderful picnic spot, without human disturbtion. Beutiful scenarios of greenery, water and sky. But not much options for shops, the panjayot guest house has a shop and small restaurant and we do have one more but not operative many times. So recommend to have your own food and snacks to avoid disappointment. There will not be mobile signals of many service providers.
If you want to Njoy nature with lesser crowd . This place is 3.5 hours from Madurai.. Not much tourist spot.. but Nature is at its best.. We luckily spotted wild Elephants. Tea estate and waterfall are good spot for photos.. I traveled during Nov month.. drizzling weather.. We signed in the check post and just went up no charges. Very less crowd and hardly had 3 small shops..
Went in the last week of July. Drizzling, windy, very cool climate. Picturesque place and the climate is super(daytime). Outside vehicles allowed from 6am to 6pm only.
Less explored heaven, only if your concerned about the nature to save the best visit there. Just a blissful secnic estates all around you. There are home stays there in the valley book it in advance if required.
Highways dam view points, bikers can enjoy.. November to March is good time to get cool experiences..
It was a Great Trip, Visited Megamalai View point as well as Dam, Tea Estates, Tea Factory, Luckily Seen a couple of Elephants drinking Water in the River, Must Explore, Off-roading vehicles preferable else you can Hire one at their itself
