Meenus Mini Tiffin Center - South Indian restaurant in Chennai - Chengalpattu, India

I went here after seeing youtube videos. Now only few chat items are available. No south indian tiffin items are available. Great disappointment to know that they have stopped them 2 months back. So, no point in visiting this place because we get better quality, quantity and tasty chat elsewhere.

We use to stop by whenever we go thru mahalakshmi nagar area. This evening/night tiffin center is managed well by akka/anna couple, fantastic home food prepared by them in live kitchen environment. Lemon sevai is their fast moving food item, gets over by 7:30 pm. We also like rava idly served with kurma and chutney. My family love the masala dosa and podi dosa varieties. Podi dosas are little spicy however they ask if we prefer spicy before adding little more podi. Not a big place to dine in with tables, however nice simple ambience to sit and eat within the limited space available. They built good relationship with customer, one may feel regular customer in jovial vibe, few even bring vessels for take out. At peak 8pm, one has to wait for around 10 mins for their preferred dish. My wife used to say standing and watching akka preparing dosa while managing multiple work takes away the feeling of waiting and kind of bring the respect for the effort put in by them. Good place for dinner for those who prefer home food. Cost range: Dosa @ 35 Rs, podi dosas +10 rs, Rava idly @ Rs. 30.

Little bit of rush at evening @ some times we cannot expect availablity of all varaties of dosa. "No plastic paper is used only baniyan tree leaves are used". Great South Indian kitchen running by a lovable "Made for each other Couple". The hospitality and greeting words of the couple are their identity and differentiates them from other kitchen people. We'll visit this tiffin center whenever possible. All the dishes are excellent in taste and cost is very less. Dosa varieties, Thattu idly, Sevai, Rava idly are some of their famous dishes. Chutney, Sambhar will give us a mesmerising taste

We visited last month during a weekend and can able to find only 4 chat items . Disappointed

Amazing less budget and quality home food, always my family's first preference to have dinner here. Many well off people take away food from here on daily basis. I feel they do it like a service and not as a business, not greedy, very kind hearted. I wish these couple who run this shop to have long years to live with health and prosperity.

A small chat shop has been converted into tiffin center and it's being successful ever since. Totally one of the best lip smacking food you'd ever taste around Mahalakshmi Nagar area. Heart craving menu they're having which definitely make you to go for one more. Especially their star menu rava Idly takes the mount and worth the hype. Also their service is upto the par. It's not kind of exaggeration but literally we'd love to visit their place twice or once a week just for their friendly nature and food taste. They said no artificial flavours are added to their food and they really meant it so far. Seems their intent is not to gain popularity or gain customer circles but to provide a quality food. An additional special add on is their daily special varieties of Dosa for each day. You can find it in their menu itself. Overall a good worthy experience. Again try to taste their Rava Idly once. Responsive over calls. Not on Swiggy or Zomato since they said they won't able to manage their regular customers or they don't want to take a dip in service quality. Time : Starts by 1830hrs.
