Excellent fish options alongwith std Kerala meals # lunch spot - fresh fish cooked # aleppey style curry, fry and pollichath...high quality food @ a homely atmosphere - don't expect premium ambience, but you can have quick bite and move on - owner has strong working background with many famous hotels, hence serves perfect dishes; you can customise too... good parking, staff is cordial & location is just 30 meters from national highway (old tharavad converted hotel) - lunch available till 4 pm

Went there after hearing lots of reviews from various food vlogs.(And now i strongly believe all were paid). My personnel experience was not at all satisfactory & I won't recommend this place to others when compared to other seafood serving good hotels. Meals served with only three side curries Avial, Cabbage thoran & Lemon pickle, just for name sake. Avial was a normal one, Lime Pickle was too bitter to taste, and Thoran was okay. Ordered Varaal Fry, Kakka fry, Kozhuva fry, Njandu Roast & Kaalanji Vazhayilayil Pollichathu Varaal was deep-fried without enough marination & salt. It tasted like something fried. Kakka got half fried, and especially in these rainy seasons, it needs to be essentially cooked to avoid stomach issues. The high lighted Kaalanji cooked in plantain leaf (only in the dish title) was not even properly cooked. The fish flesh seems to be jelly & the masala tasted horrible. It looks like cooked by a beginner. Price wise, all dishes are in Rs.450 to 500 range & the item wise quality is not good at all. Ambience was like a normal hotel. We entered by hearing another customer conveying his bad experience on taste & service to the cashier. I am still surprised how the vloggers exaggerate an average hotel to a must try one. Overall experience was utter bad...

The hospitality and staff interaction matched the excellence of their food. The building, in traditional Kerala style, has limited seating capacity. Parking is convenient with a vast open space in front of the restaurant. The food we ordered was tasty and good.

Authentic Kerala Cusine at its best. I'm not a localitie here and found this place somehow during travelling. And the visit to the place was worth the effort taken to find it. They serve authentic Kerala meals and side dishes like fish fry have to be ordered extra. Hospitality and staff interaction was as good their food. Building is also in traditional Kerala style but can accommodate limited number of people at a time. Parking should not be a problem as there is a huge open space in front of the restaurant.

Excellent fish selection. They had almost all popular fish dishes. Served with traditional rice and sambar and a few veg side dishes. All the fish dishes we ordered were very tasty and we'll portioned. The service is very good and it feels more like you're having a meal at your friend or family's place. Will recommend. On the day we went they didn't have any egg dishes. But then, you go here for the fishes and they rock.

One of the most underrated fish places in Cherthala. Awesome meals with variety of fish dishes. Have been there a couple of times.Never disappointed. Must try place with very friendly staff.

Some of the best fish dishes iv had. Had karimeen fry and polichathu, kozhuva fry and mathi fry. Also had fish curry. Every dish was the best! The veg meals also were simple but very well made. And the best was the service by the ever smiling chechis. Worth every penny spent!
