Opening timings are from 4 to 9.30 pm everyday but on Fridays it is filled with people who come to offer prayers. For sightseeing better to go on some other day. It is said that it took more than 60 years to build this mosque and by about 8000 labourers!
Another beautiful construction showing the rich heritage culture of Hyderabad. It's located close to the Charminar. Bags are not allowed. No restriction for photography. A pond in front of the mosque and doves flying are giving a memorable view.
Today, Mecca Masjid is open to visitors of all faiths and is a popular tourist attraction in Hyderabad. As it's a place for Worship. Great architecture. We can spend some good time with family here. But, one concern is inside they are collecting money for chappals. I don't know whether it is right or not.
I went on weekday for magrib prayer, not soo crowded. No entry ticket needed. Allowed for everyone but by the time of namaz tourists are not allowed to visit inside the prayer hall. The evening view was awesome with near by Charminar view and market. A beautiful and peaceful place for everyone. Mosque center pond need some maintenance, water was not good. Ablution area is well maintained and washrooms are also well maintained.
