Nice place but maintenance is needed by the government..people can't just go and destroy the historical places..please do something for this place.. I like this place so much but difficult as maintenance is so so poor.. Actually this place need 5 star but for its poor maintenance I will give it 3 star.. The scenic beauty from the fort is so so nice it just can melt your heart
Medak Fort was built in the 12th century by Kakatiyas. The approach road to the fort is narrow but you can not the entry point. From there you have to climb the steps to reach to the top of the fort. At every stage, you can peep back into history to see the latest and grandeur of the then kingdoms. The beautiful view of Medak town can be seen from the fort. Really had a great time visiting this place.

Good fort to visit. Access to fort is through narrow roads especially of you are driving a larger vehicle. Once you get there it is a great experience to climb upto the top, A good exercise as well :). The fort could have been maintained a little better by the government. Haritha hotel inside the fort is a great place for good food.
Had a very nice experience but it doesn't had a proper maintenance, you can see the entire city top view from the fort. Try climb up to the end and you can see the good view. Somehow the final entry closed on the top may be govt. can focus and maintain to attract more people and make it as tourist place. Haritha had a restaurant where you can expect some cool drinks, ice-creams and tea coffe with snacks.
Medak Fort- A great piece of construction. It is said that kakateeyas had constructed the fort in the beginning and later controlled by Qutub shahees. Its a nice fort but need to be maintained. If the government takes initiation to provide basic facilities like keeping the fort clean and accessible for all it would become a great place to visit and to spend time. Their must be sign boards and boards that describe the history of the fort. At the end its a must visit place in Medak.
The road to fort is not very easy to locate and Google maps also seems to be confusing here. After lot of efforts we were able to get the archeological department board (which was almost faded) for the fort location. It is hard to get the car going because the lane is very small. Nothing much to see at the top.
Nice place for weekend hangout. This fort is really beautiful and must see. Today I traveled to fort from Hyderabad, in mid afternoon because of very hot climate I was not able to climb the fort till end. But it was amazing while traveling. If the government takes interest in maintaining it looks more beautiful.
The Medak Cathedral Church, located in Medak, Telangana, India, is a remarkable architectural gem steeped in history. Constructed between 1914 and 1924 by the British Wesleyan Methodists, it stands proudly as one of the largest cathedrals in India.
Its a best weekend spot for all the family. Sunset and sunrise will be awesome if you take time I've come for sunset and it was simply a wonderful experience. Children should be taken care if they are entering into water. Ghats are the best to sit
