Mayurakshee Resort - Resort hotel in Jhajhapara - Dumka, India

Good place to stay. Nice view. Food are awesome! Hospitaliy is good. BUT THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS POWER BACKUP. YOU MUST BE SURE ABOUT THAT YOU NEVER GET UNINTERRUPTED POWER BACKUP THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

The only good thing about Mayurakshee Resort is the location. The staffs are friendly. Other than that the resort is not at all maintained....bathroom has stains all over...no landline provided for room assistance of any kind. The person in the reception never picks up his phone in the morning whereas we were told to order room service by calling him. So we always had to go downstairs from 2nd floor to order breakfast and lunch too. Also they know that no networks work over here other than Jio. Inspite of that people are irresponsible enough to not provide landline or attend calls. On the very first day we had to wait for 20 minutes as there was nobody to attend. If anybody wants to visit....remember....this is just a very basic hotel and don't expect a good experience. ROOMS ARE OVERPRICED.

Sabatical place. Mayurakshee resort is located near masanjore dam (canada dam) under the jurisdiction of dumka district in jharkhand.The resort is surrounded by hills. Water front is one of the main attraction for tourist. This place is becoming a popular centre for tourists. We provide accomodation with great service, we have inhouse restaurant, we also have childrens park and a banquet hall with a large lawn.

Staff are helpful but (1) at Rs 2500 with breakfast included, expected there will be a mirror in the bathroom (2) a sprawling property like this needs intercom in each room (3) there is almost zero signal on Airtel, Vodafone and even Jio once inside some rooms of first and second floor.. possibly due to geography. In that case at least each wing on each floor should have WiFi support. (4) then the statutory warning from the staff that there will be power cuts. But you may think oh that's fine. No it's not. During power cut you need ceiling fan at full speed. During functioning AC you will be chilled to the bone if you set the fan at full speed. The fan is not placed over the bed and the pedestal fan creates a one-side cooling making you feel like an egg, sunny side up.

It's a very beautiful resort on the banks of Mayurakshee River in Massanjore, Dumka, Jharkhand. It has good rooms and a beautiful garden with swings and sitting area inside the garden. One can approach the river banks for a walk too from inside gate of the resort.

Absolutely amazing and relaxing area. If u have time enough explore this place please visit the behinds side of this dam, unexpected views cold water waves and waves sound on your ear. That's makes you feels so calm and relaxing.

Excellent location and view. Just beside Massanjore Dam. But room and service lacks due to low maintenance.

The only decent resort available close to Massanjore Dam is this one. The property is quite spacious with king sized rooms and a quiet ambiance makes it ideal for a visit for a couple of days. There are TT board and carrom board available for the guests. The watch tower also offers beautiful views of the dam. The only minus point is that there are plenty of power cuts and the air conditioner does not work during that time. The food is okay and staffs are helpful.
