The stadium was refurbished well for the recently held Asian Champions Trophy with newly imported and relaid with an AstroTurf which will be used in Paris Olympics next year which is made of sugarcane waste and carbon free and the seatings were good along with floodlights.

Went for Asian Champions Trophy 2023. The stadium was upgraded with new turf and was neatly maintained by the ground staff. But the 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler parking should be streamlined properly to avoid unwanted congestion.

Went to the hero hockey champion's trophy, grounds are maintained well but strictly they are not allowing outside water bottles and snacks.

Small stadium and bcoz of this u get to see matches from short distance. Easily accessible by public transport.

I visited this stadium yesterday to watch India Pakistan Asian Trophy Game, but my experience was a nightmare. It started with the traffic and parking issues, the game timing was during the peak hours, the traffic was so crazy and the police were simply standing on the roads instead of clearing it. Next, when I reached the gate after struggling for an hour in the traffic, a police man asked me to turn back because the parking was already full. Alternate parking should have been arranged, nor was informed about it. Next, when I somehow managed to park the car outside and reached the arena, they told me arena is full and the police and stadium staff denied me entrance. But, my uncle was already inside the arena. So, I had to beg the police inspector to allow me in, he finally relented and let me in. When I entered the arena, I realized that the whole arena was oversold over and above the seating capacity, and my uncle who was 70 years old was standing in the top stage of the podium, and I could not find any space to stand in the podium let alone sit anywhere. So, I lost the interest and stood behind the open space in the stadium where food vendors had installed booth. I tried to buy some coke, but the gpay was not working because the network was jammed by the police due to presence of political VIPs. Finally, lost interest with the whole thing and left the stadium and slept in my car, so I can pick up my uncle and run back home. If we retrospect the whole event, common man like me are treated like cattle by the police and stadium staffs, the VIPs get a special entrance and treatment for absolutely free, they can enter through the main gate decorated grandly, but the common man who paid for it is asked to use a narrow gate where a car could not enter properly. But this whole infrastructure is build on the sweat and pain of the labor class like me, and I also paid a premium to watch this game, yet I was asked to go back. I have decided that I will never ever go to any stadium in my life, especially this one.
