Our experience was great. The guesthouse has nice, clean rooms. Communication was friendly and straightforward. Service was great - we even got an upgrade. The guesthouse can also make food on request (with a little waiting time). the location is perfect for the Taj Mahal - only 15 minutes by auto rickshaw. Max is very helpful and he had a lot of useful information about Agra sites. He also kindly let us leave our bags while we visited Agra Fort after check out. There are a lot of mosquitos in Agra so it's best to bring strong mosquito repellent and maybe even a mosquito net.
If you want a economical or reasonable price options to stay, this is best. The location is good and safe for solo travellers, Rooms are clean. Monuments are not far from here and this place is close to the main road. Host is a nice person. He is running this stay with his Mom & Dad. If you communicate well, such as if you want to leave early/arriving late/having food on the property, host is helpful to make arrangements accordingly. You will have access to a fridge with mineral water and soft drinks options with add-on price. There is filtered water option available free of cost. You can fill own water bottles and can keep in the fridge (for summers).
Stayed here for two nights with my dad. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. In a great location - walking distance to the Taj Mahal and great bars and restaurants. Could even get a view of the Taj Mahal from the rooftop where we enjoyed some evening takeaway beers. Max was amazingly helpful with recommendations and support navigating the sights. Thanks, Max!
Wonderful host and hospitality, would 100% recommend this guest house We loved our stay here. Max was amazing - despite being poorly he facilitated an early check in for us and was constantly checking in with us via WhatsApp to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He was also in contact with us before which helped us prepare for our arrival. He also runs a travel agency and can organise taxi day trips to attractions near Agra such as Fatehpur Sikri, a bird sanctuary and other animal sanctuaries nearby. We did a bird sanctuary half day trip and our taxi ride was extremely comfortable. There is a lot of useful information on the guest board to help guests make the most out of their Agra stay. I would recommend bringing bug spray if you're planning to sit in the open area in the evening.
We spent a great night at Max Guesthouse. Max was polite and very kind, the breakfast and the dosa were delicious! Check her sister's silver jewelry, he has amazing pieces. Totally recommend for a cozy stay in Agra.
Such a lovely guesthouse in Agra! And Max is the best host. Very kind and helpful. He arranged a great private transfer for us from New Delhi to Agra. The guesthouse is at a great location. Not too far away from the Taj Mahal but also not too close to all its chaos. Loved the common spaces and rooftop. Wifi worked well.
