This place is a true wonder you will see many limestone formations here inside the caves and would be amazed to see through your eyes. It's an amazing place to explore. Do visit this place when you're in Meghalaya. Additional Note: There are three caves in total, two are open for the public and the last one is open for caves, researchers only. I was super interested in going inside but I couldn't , since it's too dark and risky. And mobile flashlights are not enough for this.
One of the best caves in Cherrapunji, very adventurous to go across the cave. It has narrow lanes, up and down routes, stairs, bridges, waterfalls and what not inside the cave! You have to sit, crawl, duck, jump, walk while crossing it inside. There are lights to avoid the darkness yet few places you might need a torch. There is an entry fee of 30rs per adult to get into it. Food and convenience is available outside the cave.
Great experience!! You'll have a small adventure navigating the cave. No bats or snakes to worry about. Except very obese and very elderly people everyone can enjoy. If you have some more time and want more adventure there are two more caves adjoining this one, although they are recommended only for professionals as per the signpost outside.
Great experience. Caution: requires stair climbing. Medically unfit and pregnant ladies may take note. Out side the cave there is a shopping area and food stalls. Local bands play there. Very good talents. Just take a coffee or a bowl of hot noodles soup and enjoy.
One of the best caves in Meghalaya owing to the ease of access and the path you take to reach there. Choose from a pleasant trail, enjoying the beauty of nature and a great hike and another rugged path which will challenge yourself and question your decision making skills. It's a great place for history lovers too and is often regarded as archaeologists paradise owing to the many sealife fossils.
Visiting here early in the morning would be good time(around 7/8am) the crowd will be less. The place is well maintained and be ready to walk into caves. It will be slippery in few areas because of natural water dripping.
