Mavoor in Calicut is a hidden gem! It's a breathtaking nature spot perfect for picnics. The lush greenery and serene atmosphere make it an ideal escape from the city. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a beautiful and peaceful getaway.
Mavoor Wetlands is a hidden gem in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. This beautiful wetland is a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers, with its diverse range of flora and fauna. The wetlands are spread over a vast area and are home to a variety of bird species, including migratory birds that visit during the winter months. The wetlands are also home to several species of fish, amphibians, and reptiles. One of the best ways to explore Mavoor Wetlands is by taking a boat ride. The boat ride takes you through the narrow canals and waterways, giving you a chance to see the wetlands up close. The boat ride is a peaceful and serene experience, with the only sounds being the chirping of birds and the gentle lapping of water against the boat. The wetlands are also a great place for a picnic or a leisurely stroll. There are several walking trails that take you through the wetlands, allowing you to explore the area at your own pace. The wetlands are also a great place for photography, with plenty of opportunities to capture the beauty of nature. Overall, Mavoor Wetlands is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and wants to experience the beauty of Kerala's wetlands. It is a peaceful and serene place that is perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway.

One can find true beauty of nature here. Low traffic path so one can ride through the road by experiencing cool breeze from the both side of the road. Both side we can see the vegitation. If you prefer a silent ride throught the road you should defenetly visit this place. It's a short path but you will get enough experience.
Good place for spending evening leisure times. Hub for a lot of immigrant birds, lots of fishing spots with great verity of fishes.
