Dam was located at Northern Foothills of Sirumalai. Nice Environment with lack of maintenance. No Bus facilities are available at this place. The road will be small and more damaged driving on the bike will be preferable. Can't do any activity like bathing or stepping into a water out coming point. Only water reservoir to collect water resources from the Sirumalai Hills. Due to the interior location of the dam most of the night times only alcoholics will be there and a very minimum amount of light. During day time there will be some visitors from nearby farmers. But there are no proper safety or security features like police and rescue service also no hospitals nearby.
Don't go alone too many illigal activities there be safe
Awesome Serene place to visit on weekdays. Weekends, you can expect crowds. Try walking along the embankment, you'll reach superb sites. Biggest drawback - littering by alcoholics . Visit the place during daylight, avoid night times.
The water level was less and some youngsters were fishing. It was a lovely sight to see. I had gone by Cycle and was scared a bit on seeing the road condition near the dam, but it was safe in the end. This weekend trip was a surprise, as there was hardly any crowd. A little distance away from the Dam is a Tea shop which serves Tea, Juice, snacks and Lemon rice etc to satisfy your hunger. A lovely ride to remember

Dam is quite good and the way for going towards dam is amazing and thrilling. Nice and adventurous trail.
A peaceful and awesome location surrounded by mountains. Best time to visit is between Oct to Jan or during a rainy or a cloudy day.......
Excellent farm house ...Suitable for bachelors party and their tariff is awesome ..you pay 8000 and you can bring up to 10 people with you ...located in near dam with river face property ..enjoyed lot ..try once...also 24 hrs stay...Food will not be provided .

get a bus from dhindukkal via sirumalai and reach the agasthiyapuram hill, from there by walk you can go in a sand and stone filled path towards velli malai hill top,filled with full of medicinal herbs and lemon grasses... its really a peaceful place
