This is North Eastern railway. Allahabad -mau-gorakhpur main line. Station have 3 platform. Station have 11 track line. Mobile charging point available. Sitting available. Drinking water available. Parking spaces at front of station. A large Indian flag looked here. Electricity connection available. Over bridge here. Foot bridge available. Very old station. Prepaid taxi services. Station is not large. Station is not to small. Bhagalpur train available. RPF allert here. Station is not clean. Atmosphere is not good. Wheel chair accessibility. Pay and use toilet available. Paid parking available. Ticket counter some time crowded Fast food available. Cold drink available. Bottle water available
Low crowd, neat and clean station, It connect the Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Azamgarh
At starting it was a metre-gauge line. But in 1992 it converted into broad gauge. The present building towards city side was constructed in 1995 during the regime of Kalpnath Rai as a Cabinet Minister in Indian Government. The building is just like copy of Varanasi Junction.
I would call it a decent n clean railway station. Have loads of parking space available and highly green area outside of the railway station. You also have the paid parking just in case if you want to ensure the vehicle is safe. Though it's not a big railway station, it has only 3 platforms but being managed nicely. The one thing which was concerning is the SECURITY, I didn't find any metal detector or officials to have a proper security check done. The restroom is inside of the railway station P1 and being managed nicely was neat and clean. I felt the absence of a porter (Koolie)
Mau station is one of the main station on the route of lucknow to gorakhpur. It's build large in size in compared to other junction. Even you can get elevator on the walkways.
This station is situated in North Eastern Railway zone. One of the cleanest station in NER zone. Helpful staff here and good transport system to reach this station.
Mau junction is a very good and reachable place for everyone. This station has all facilities like crax fast food and related to washroom .
