This fish farm turned ecotourism hub is the best outing for a quick break during a weekend. You can amuse yourself with tender coconut. Enjoy commuting through the prestine tropical backwaters, that are well maintained. Upon payment, you can try your hand at fishing and take your catch home. I did try my hand at the chakram, which is used traditionally by kerala farmers to water the paddy fields. Today, you can only see it in glass cubes as an antique piece. You can enjoy unadulterated kerala meals cooked with fresh vegetables and fishes nurtured in their farm. You should definitely go for fish fry and meals. Try pearl spots. Yum! The farm also has facilities for recreational boating that includes coracle ride rowing boat, pedal boat, water cycle, kayaking, and solar boat. Njarakkal fish farm is a must visit spot for any nature and fun loving wanderer.

Gud place with lots of activities but the piping sun during these days , they don't have much trees so not much of shade ... that's the only drawback... Fud is gud

An ok place for an afternoon visit. Very pocket friendly. You get fish curry meals, a small ice cream and pedal or row boats for Rs:300 /-( Entry 200 + Food 100) I think a coffee ( just an ok coffee) too comes within this price. You can buy snacks(Rs:10/pazham pori) with coffee or tea. Have to say the meals tastes good. Like homemade. Try the meenchar and moru with the meals. If you like fishing you can, well spend the day, but, dont expect anything more than tiny pearlspots; otherwise, there's not much to do... if the whether is not pleasant. But, worth a visit.. once. There's one more activity.... "meen chattam"(sighting flying fish). which you can purchase for around Rs 500/- it's fun...

Went for a family day out, It's a beautiful place with wonderful stuffs to explore. The package we took was called Pravahini- and it included breakfast,lunch and dinner. The food was awesome. Only time we felt bored was the long boat ride ( may not be so for people who haven't done much boating ) .

Nice place for kutta vanchi ,boat safari etc.. Quality of food and distribution yet to improve.

This is a good place for family and friends weekend gathering, with some fishing and food. They have different meal options with fish. They allow self Boating aswell a boat with an operator.We need to pay the entry fee according to the time or day of the week which we plan to visit. Not recommended for small kids, as it is surrounded by water on all the sides.
