Matilang park located in Upper Shillong, which is surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque landscape. Entry fee : Adult-50rs Child-20rs Vehicle-20rs Camera-50rs Mobile-10rs One of the primary attractions of this spot is the magnificent views of Elephant Falls, one of the major tourist places in Shillong. The falls, located at the outskirts of the main city, attract tons of visitors from all around the world because the unique two-tier waterfall makes for a great view and photographs. Also, these curved falls have an alluring beauty and the surrounding green vegetation makes it a perfect picnic spot.
One of my children's favourite places to hangout as they have grown up visiting this place as kids and also a good place to be with family & friends. Even Elephant Falls which is beside the Matilang Park can be seen easily from the park itself. The place is very good especially for the children's to play merry-go-round, swing, slide to name a few.
I believe this park is one of the best parks in India I have ever seen. Best time to visit is right at the sunrise. It is usually not crowded early in the morning. As the sun comes up the hill, first rays fall on the garden and a layer of fog covering it. Right at the bottom of the Sun, we see a small beautiful waterfall. There is a very well maintained children's park, places to sit and chill and availability of washrooms.

You all get bonus view of the famous Elephant Falls on the other side of the mountain..... Tis place has substantial and big Parking spaces for small and big vehicles...

Came here for wisdom tooth extraction and the doctor did a great job. He explains beforehand how he will proceed and listens to his patients' concern. I highly recommend a visit if you have any dental ailments.
