Mathrumala Rajarajeshwari Devi Temple is a well-known Hindu temple located in Kooropadi, Kottayam District the Indian state of Kerala. It is dedicated to Goddess Rajarajeshwari, an incarnation of the Goddess Parvati. The temple is known for its beautiful nature and peaceful atmosphere.Watching the sunset from here can be a breathtaking and serene experience. The changing colors of the sky as the sun dips below the horizon create a beautiful and tranquil setting. It's a great way to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful moment. Kottayam town view from here also a spectacular sight, especially during night when the city lights come alive.
One of the most beautiful and peaceful Tamilnadu-style temples in Kottayam. The temple is small and located at the top of the hill ( mathrumala).
A serene and calm place. Best enjoyable during the evening.
Picturesque location for a peaceful sunset with family. Not at all crowded. Road access for cars. Any amatuer rider can try this small offroad experience. No shops, get you snacks packed. Never spoil the place take back all waste, level your footprint alone. There is a hindu temple. Washrooms available are not well maintained
Calm and peaceful atmosphere. Great place to be in the evening. The place has a view of sunrise and sunset The temple is on top of a hill and the road to the top is a little rough and may find it difficult especially during rainy days. Overall a beautiful place to have some quality time.
I recently visited Mathrumala during the evening, and it offered a decent scenic view along with a refreshing cool climate. However, it didn't quite live up to my expectations, possibly due to the high expectations set by Instagram posts. Overall, a pleasant place to visit for some natural beauty and relaxation.
Divine. When the sun sets they turn on temple music, and there is a serene and peace that is soothing and serene. Loved it.
nice place to spend an evening to see the beautiful sunset. a steep climb about 800m is there to reach the top. narrow road. friendly locals live by. the temple priest is friendly too. if you request they will open the adjacent new building so that you can make it to the terrace and have a beautiful view. must walk around the beautiful temple. at 6pm there they play beautiful devosional songs, which lifts up the spirits. if you have a binocular or DSLR's you can see alleppy, vagamon, kottayam town, medical college etc from here. ask any local guy and they will be happy to show you the places.
I went there to update my adhaar details. Although it was a very hectic and busy day, the staff were addressing each of the clients politely and with immense amount of patience, I must say. Especially on that day, there were lot of old people coming
