Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital and Panchakarma Centre - Eighteenth Stone - Hospital in Tholicode - Thiruvananthapuram, India

I recently spent 18 days at Matha Ayurveda Eye hospital . The campus was beautiful and each and every staff member was very helpful. I was there by myself but never felt alone for those 18 days. I would wake up to a knock on my door at 7am with a hot cup of herbal tea, followed by Doctors visit to my room to check my BP . Then around 8:30am we would all meet together for morning prayers . Followed by a review with Chief Doctor , Dr Santhakumari. Wonderful , motherly lady , full of passion and compassion. Then Most of the day was sent going to treatment , resting & relaxing . Food was decent , mostly vegetarian with an option to have an egg if requested. And usually by 9pm one would retire to bed. I personally downloaded some podcasts and audiobooks to listen to before going to bed, which was refreshing and helpful. I had visited the hospital with Elevated eye pressure in one eye and some floaters in the other. There was some improvement in the first issue and work in progress for the other. Such is the nature with Ayurveda , the commitment has to be much longer than those 18 days, however, full marks to Matha , its team and doctors on call, specially Dr. Santhakumari for trying their best to listen and address the patients problems .. I would certainly visit again in the future .. Special mention to- Dr Hyrunnisa for keeping tract of my vitals and over all health Amina & Kaveri for any all admin requests Vishnu & Riju my therapists Sajitha & Sajina for the lovely food Shyla , Remya & Usha for keeping the rooms cleaned .. incase I have missed someone sincere apologies .. and all the best

Had a wonderful experience at Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital and Panchakarma centre. The hospital is set in serene surroundings. Very spacious rooms , well mannered admin staff and ground staff. The staff are committed and punctual. The ambience adds quality to the time spend there . I had a lovely time. Thank you Dr. Shanta kumari Dr. Hairunnissa and their strong and committed team of therapists for making my stay memorable. I am very happy with the treatment I received at Matha. Thank you so much.

I took my son to the hospital this summer and stayed there for 15 days. An excellent stay and the entire team is very frindly, and did everything to make our stay comfortable especially Dr Remya, Kaveri and Vishnu. Dr Shantakumari is very knowledgable of Ayurveda and treatment was of very high quality. My son saw improvement in his Myopia in three month. Would certainly recommend.

I was admitted to Matha Eye Hospital, 18th Srone branch for treatment of my complex Retina problem. Stayed there for 17 days. Dr Santhakumari mam is an amazing person and has vast knowledge & experience in resolving complex Eye problems. She is very confident doctor. She reviewed my progress every day and regulated treatment accordingly. Overall, she is epitome of hope for me. Dr. Hyrunnisa and vacation Dr Ramya were very and caring and hard working and supervised my treatment and therapies with full dedication. Therapists Sreekutty and Jyothi were very wonderful person and did their job with professional accuracy. Receptionist Ameena and Kavery were taking great care of us with smile. Kitchen and housekeeping staff were very hard working and professional. South Indian food was served which we relished. Hospital premises and rooms were very clean and well maintained giving a Resort stay feeling. First phase of my treatment is over and review is scheduled after 3 months. Now home medicine continuing. Our Experience at Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital and Panchakarma Centre, Trivandrum is unforgettable. We joined Matha for treatment of Macular Dystrophy (Stargardt) disease of my wife. Doctors in Allopathy conveyed that there is no treatment for Stargardt so when heard that Matha treats Stargardt, we saw a ray of hope. Matha Hospital, Eighteenth Stone Branch campus is situated in excellent environment having natural ambience with abundance of flora & fauna. The treatment was done under guidance of Chief Doctor P. K. Santhakumari. She is exceptionally outstanding doctor having a positive approach which helped my wife to believe that she will be all right. She goes into every minute details of the disease very patiently, does detailed diagnosis and then decides course of treatment. She answers every query in detail and gives very practical solution. Other Doctors at Matha Dr Remya and Dr Hyrunnisa are very efficient and dedicated for their work. Mr Arun, hospital administrator is very gentle person and manages administration of hospital very efficiently. The therapist Sreekutty is very caring & perfect in her work. The receptionist Amina is very good and help patients for everything very well. The other staffs are very co-operative and treat patients very politely with due respect. Food at Matha hospital is served with love which work as medicine for the well-being of patients. We are highly satisfied with treatment at Matha and highly recommend it to others for visiting Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital and Panchakarma Centre for treatment of Eye diseases.

It was a nice visit. It was my fourth visit and first to this center. Treatments along with lodging were great. One problem here is that there is no one to talk to as they only have four rooms. Food here is also not that good as it is especially prepared to increase the effectiveness of medicines. If you want any other eatable ,you should inform the receptionist. .

Stayed at Matha for a week. It is a beautiful place, aesthetically done and well maintained. Even in the sweltering heat, temperatures were down by a few degrees and almost every day it rained in the afternoon making the heat bearable. Staff is professional and courteous. Admin staff, ground staff and therapists - all are wonderful, well trained. Duty doctor Ms Hairunissa is a gem of a person. Always making sure the patients are well taken care of. Dr. Santhakumari was always at the hospital in the mornings tending to the patients even though she has her schedule full with the other 2 hospitals. Between the two doctors, patient care is the supreme motto. The place has a lot of medicinal plants and it is very beneficial to walk around the pathway everyday. I wish all the best to this new establishment of Matha Ayurved hospital and look forward to my next stay. Rakesh Panicker

One of the best Ayerveda hospital for eye care. All the staff a r e super friendly and make you feel home. Dr Shanta Kumari spends a lot of time with patients. Treatement a t affordable cost. I was very happy.
