Masala is a pure veg restaurant located on MG mall road. This outlet is just inside a lane. The ambiance is typical with local decors. We tried their Steamed Momos which were good in taste. But the curries were okies.
The place is really good! The food is tasty, the waiters are nice. We had steamed Momo's and it was delicious. They had three types of sauce for it too! They serve alcohol if that's your thing. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant. The restaurant is very clean too. The price is on the higher side and one bad thing is that they don't accept cards.
We decided to go to this restaurant seeing the decent rating on Google. But it was a greatest mistake. The food was tasteless and service was very very slow. We ordered cream of tomato soup and it arrived on time. But the main course Paneer Labdar & Butter naan took almost 50mins to make it to our table that to after repeated reminder to the steward. And when it comes to taste, it was below average. Soup was lacking important spices, paneer labdar was bland and butter naan was too thick and raw from inside. Total waste of money. They took another sweet 15 mins to get the bill & 5 mins to get the change. Go there only if you have all the time in the world. -BeingBakasura
Antique and unique ambiance... A veg restaurant with a bar is an amazing place for vegetarians.. The service is prompt and responsive. Would recommend it to vegetarians or those looking for a veg meal with a drink or two.
This is one of the best hotel I ever visited. Do try chilli babycorn and stir fried veg.

Pathetic place. Waited for about ten minutes to get attended by a waiter only to know there are no Tandoori items, which occupied half of their menu card. Veg pulav was good but Paneer Tikka Masala was terrible (no tandoori items but yes they had paneer tikka masala). And the starter cheese balls came after we finished our main course. I wish it never came because it was the worst cheese balls I've ever had so far.
A good option for vegetarians in Gangtok, MG Marg. The service is good. The food however is a little disappointing. Good for starters and alcohol. Good atmosphere to chill with friends and family.
