Masala Darbar - Restaurant in Midnapore - Medinipur West, India

Today I went to the restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday. The atmosphere at first was very good . As all the guests didn't arrive on time one of my friend was sitting for about 10 minutes , The staff told her to go out as he can't wait for more guests to come . Secondly, All the lights weren't switched on . It was so dim , Not at all a photogenic place . I met their head chef today , His behaviour was very good he is genuinely a nice person . As the most of the Indian items were out of stock , so I had to order the Chinese items which wasn't that good . But you can try out their masala Darbar special Indian items . Those items are very nice in taste . And they take feedback genuinely. Pricing was on the decent side .

All is okay. But compare to other restaurants in Medinipur it's food items are some high in price. Quality is good. If you're a student first check the original price then order.

Just wanted to share my recent experience at Masala Darbar. While the ambiance was nice, I have to be honest--the food didn't quite hit the mark. It fell short on taste, and I left feeling a bit disappointed. It's a bummer when a cool vibe doesn't make up for the food not being up to par. Hope it will helps, Thanks

Food quality is good but quantity is less according to the price, waiting time is longer

The food is just okay, but the service is extremely poor. I visited this place on June 10, 2023, and encountered several issues. After placing our order, we had to wait for a significant amount of time. While waiting, we requested water, but the restaurant did not have regular water available. Consequently, we were compelled to purchase water from the restaurant. However, when the water bottle was brought to us, more than half of it was frozen solid. This necessitated the purchase of an additional bottle, which was highly disappointing. The food arrived much later than expected, despite multiple calls to the staff. When the bill arrived, they had charged us for two bottles of water. We then explained that we had only consumed half of the water from one bottle because it was frozen. In response, they filled the remainder of the bottle with tap water and handed it back to us. This incident was disrespectful and, based on my personal experience, I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. Please avoid it to prevent feeling disrespected.

Food quality is good.... friendly behaviour from restaurant....

Their presentation is good and the food is great. In one or two items we felt a little disappointed but overall quality and taste . Best was Soups, Paneer Tikka and Dal Fry. There's a rooftop as well which is beautiful but late in the evening, its difficult dining there as it gets filled with insects. They got a banquet as well which is okayish, the space could have been more. Overall, a good experience and a go-to place for meals
