Situated near to the Hidamba temple yet having a calm, serene and relaxing ambience overlooking the mountains Mary's Cottages is of the best homestays to take a break and relaxing your senses amidst nature. Location: 5 points - near to Hidimba temple and 10 min walk to Mall road, we had our own car so going anywhere was not a challenge. Ambience: 5 - great views Food: 4 Hospitality: 5 - very polite and courteous staff. Luxury and Rooms: 5 - rooms are big enough and offer amazing views. I stayed at the Royal Suite - 2BHK. The owner Mr. Pankaj is very down to earth and a humble person and takes care of every small Nitti gritties and is always working towards providing the best stay experience for you. He is more concerned to preserve the beauty and lush green nature and does not want to overcrowd the place by building more rooms which would destroy the beauty of the place. The home stay has 5-6 separate flats and a big lush green lawn from where you can see the snow capped mountains. In spite of being 5 mins walk from Hidimba Temple the place is still offering a quiet and serene environment away from the hustle and bustle of life and you will not feel disturbed by city traffic or rush here. Rooms/Flats The place has single room flats as well as family suite - we stayed in the The royal room - a family suite which was a 2 BHK flat with separate entry. Both the rooms were big enough had large windows offering a view of the mountains - the windows are extra large so in morning or night when you remove the curtains you get to have an excellent view of the mountains. Each rooms has its own separate washrooms fitted with geyser which was working 24X7 so you have access to hot water which is much needed. The lawns and garden outside your flats have seating arrangements too where you can have your breakfast and morning tea. The night as well as the evening view and ambience of the place if great so you can sit inside or at the lawns in morning and evening, during late evening after 8 PM you will need a bon fire for sure to stay warm. The beds were comfortable and quite big and in the main room you also have a kitchen though we did not use it. From storage you get a lot of space to organize and unpack your stuff. There are cupboards in each room and two bed side tables. There is a big sofa in the main room with a center table and a fire hearth(fire place) for which they will charge extra. It also has a small place where you can host birthdays or ceremonies - just like a menu restaurant setup. Yes - it has Free WiFi which in todays world is a must - did not face any issues with broad band except some minor outages which was resumed quickly. The caretaker Akash is a very soft, polite, decent and professional person who is always there at a call away to help you out. They also provide home cooked food and have a food menu too. I would definitely recommend this place as you must have stayed many times in hotel and living in a flat will be a separate experience like a home away from home.

Mary's cottage is very centrally located. Easily accessible from old Manali and Mall road. we stayed for 4 days here and the rooms were very neat and clean. The staff was courteous and helpful too. Overall loved the experience. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay in Manali with easy access to local sightseeing locations.

Had read mixed reviews for Mary's cottage, but still decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you- it was the most memorable part of my stay in Manali. Mr Pankaj was kind enough to give us a late complimentary checkout of 5pm as our bus was at 7pm. The caretaker, Inder, was so soft spoken and down to earth which completely won us over. He made sure we had a comfortable stay and tended to our every need. The property is BEAUTIFUL, and is definitely worth it. If you've read mixed reviews too, please take my word for it and book this for your stay. You won't regret it. My only regret is that I didn't stay here for a longer duration.

best homestay in manali near mall road and hadimiba temple.... everything from checkin to checkout was outstanding

Cozy place hidden away amongst the mountain greens en route the Hadimba Temple. Rooms are nice with a Vintage Wood Touch. In house dining and service is decent. Outdoor seating is relaxing. Good for 2 to 3 days stay.

The owner needs some training in hospitality management as he does not know how to speak to customers. He is rude, uncouth and simply doesn't have any consideration for someone's emergency. We were planned to stay at this place for 2 nights, and had paid an advance for the same for 2 rooms. Unfortunately one of the couples had to drop out due to family emergency. Therefore we called the property explaining our difficulty. We had not even asked for a refund, we were just asking him to adjust it for one room. The first call the person was too sleepy to attend his customers and he hung up after being extremely rude. The next call after trying to explain the situation he starts yelling at me. This property either need a change in management or need to be shut down as it fails the basic of hospitality. Worst experience ever would never recommend anybody to go to such place run by an unruly person.
