Looking at the reviews i thought of eating here. Place is like a small canteen. I tried thier fish curry rice pork chilli, pork bafat and beef bafat. I was not happy with the food. It's not bad but the place is over hyped i felt. It's like a home kitchen and taste was bland i could only taste garam masala in everything and it was one of the dominating spice in everything other than fish curry.
Service was fast and place was clean.
Pork bafat did not taste like bafat at all it was more of a masala kind of preparation with lot of garam masala. Same with beef. Pork chilli was dipped in oil meat was completely dry and was more like a dry sweet Indian chilli preparation.
Veg was cold and fish curry was full of thorns.
May be today was the bad day to visit. Looking at so many positive reviews i would definitely like to visit once more and try the food.

Home cooked food served in the best cooked manner, full of flavour and aromatic spices. Priced for common mans. This is the food, made by the people for the people and too the people. Loved it. Have been here for 20 years. This place started in 1984. Today is run by Mary Bais son, Maxim his wife Hilda and sister in law Matilda.

New location in Bejai. I am not from Mangalore visiting.Tried pork bafat, fish fry-black pomfret fish thali, buff chilly. The food was good. But I felt that it was slightly tastier at the old place.
May be my tongue is getting old. Overall, it was a very pleasant eating experience.

My favourite place and the final choice for Pork dishes! The new location which is near to the old place, opposite to Fatima Retreat Centre looks more spacious! The new generation who has taken over the eatery, manages well, offering a great treat at affordable price!!! Love the food and service!!!
