Nice place for archeology enthusiasts..... Really good place to bring school kids..... They charge 5rs for adults and 30rs for photos

Such a wonderful museum about the Famous Tamil epic Silapathigaram.. The important events of the Epic were depicted in spectacular miniature sculptures along with musical instruments.. Even though the place need some improvements, Existing structure gives nice essence of the classic..

Love this place like anything. Showcased with the idols of Kannagi and Kovalan at the entrance inside the museum. Entrance tickets cost is reasonably cheap and also the maintenance is. Very bad maintenance by archeological department and I'm seeing few of the idols where damaged inside the museum. The idol of karikal cholan was not even cleaned. The most saddest part is the maintenance of the museum and the park. Never miss the pictorial/ idolic representation of the Tamil epic silappathikaram.

Interesting place. Can see 2.5 crores year old shell / fossil here. Other items like Urn, Jar, Fish bones etc kept here. Entrance Ticket Rs.5 for adults. Not much crowded. very close to seashore.

Nice place to visit , the condition is under renovation . This place is closed for three years , so we can see . I'm disappointed as i visited today .

This place need lots of improvements, very few things are in display.

Though it is a small museum. It has certain artefacts which were contributed by people from various places. The most interesting thing is the various ship models on display. Entry fee is Rs.5/- per person and camera fee is Rs.30/- per camera.

Good one, but still need to develop.
