A hidden gem for sure. There were literally no one on the spot at my time of visiting. It was raining heavily before 2 days of my visit and the waterfall was on a great flow. Loved the small trek and atmosphere. It is somewhat difficult for elderly people to reach the waterfalls. Please carry water and do not litter . You can see many warnings to avoid getting into water and please do obey the rules. Avoid going to the waterfalls on a rainy days.
Marmala Waterfalls in Kerala is a hidden gem of natural beauty. Surrounded by lush greenery, the cascading waterfalls offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The journey to reach Marmala may be a bit challenging with winding roads, but the destination is worth the effort. The waterfall itself is a sight to behold, with its pristine waters plunging down into a pool below. Visitors can take a refreshing dip in the cool waters and feel rejuvenated. The surrounding forest is home to diverse flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. One downside is that the area can get crowded during weekends and holidays, so it's best to visit during weekdays for a more peaceful experience. Marmala Waterfalls are undeniably beautiful, a solid experience. The falls themselves are a sight to behold, and the refreshing waters are a treat. However, it's important to be cautious while enjoying the waters. But there are no public toilets nearby. Additionally, during the monsoon season, the falls become even more spectacular but can be dangerous. Nevertheless, it's a worthwhile visit for nature enthusiast.
If you have ever been to Theekoy or even Erattupetta, marmala waterfall is a must-visit. I wouldn't suggest it for older people who have trouble walking as you have to go through a little forest area to get there. And it's that experience that makes it even more wonderful.
Our visit to Marmala Waterfalls was an unforgettable experience that perfectly complemented our trip to Vagamon Hills. This natural wonder left us in awe of its beauty and provided a thrilling sense of adventure. As we navigated through rocks and rivers, the journey itself became an exhilarating part of the experience. What made this visit even more special was seeing the pure joy on my little daughter's face. She absolutely loved every moment of the trek, which was filled with exploration and excitement. The climax of our adventure was the breathtaking view of the Marmala Waterfalls at the end of the trail. The sight was nothing short of mesmerizing, and we felt truly connected to nature in that moment. Marmala Waterfalls is a must-visit for anyone seeking both natural beauty and a sense of adventure. The blend of picturesque landscapes, adventurous trekking, and the awe-inspiring waterfall view at the end makes this place truly exceptional. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the memories we created here.

Locals warned that this place can be dangerous during rainy season as water flow can increase suddenly without warning.. Please be aware..
