Hi Everyone, This is one of the oldest restaurant on the Halwasiya road Hazratganj near apple service centre. First time I visited here 8 years back. Second time now. This place is much improved in ambience and crowd as well. Food quality and presentations are good. Look at the presentation in my pictures. Very sober and loving. Humble staff. Good atmosphere AC cooling nice. Not much rushy No waiting when I visited. We ordered Idli sambhar, noodles, mojito, lime water. All were fine. Bottled water available. Food is just tasteless. Not recommended. South Indian food is a yes yes but apart from that don't try anything there. And also parking problem.

Marksmen is an iconic outlet of Lucknow, standing tall (and always crowded) from as long as I can remember. Some delicacies like Dosa and their Indo-chinese dishes have been their superstar dishes for decades now. Keeping all this in mind, I recently visited to reminisce those memories as I happened to be back in Lucknow on my birthday, and I just cannot describe the heartbreak! Okay, so the place has got a beautiful makeover. Rather than the hustling bustling food joint, it now looks like a proper cafe with a European vibe (coz well, everyone wants Instagrammable interiors right!). The place looks really good, but the makeover lacks some sense. For instance, why would you want to decrease the seating capacity when I try to renovate a place! They have taken some outer area as well as part of the whole structure now, but even then the capacity is reduced. Coming to the food, oh boy, that's where the real heartbreak starts. They have revamped their complete menu! Most of the dishes which they used to serve have now been replaced by the new ones. One of their best-sellers, Chicken Chowmein, does not exist. They will just give you Chilly Garlic Noodles instead of that. I didn't really like Chilly Garlic Noodles either, you can have much better version of that in Hazratganj itself. The Dosa was good, probably the only thing which they haven't changed yet. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing birthday dinner for me. For most of the time, I was in complete disbelief that this could happen. Renovation, makeover everything is fine, but WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU REVAMP THE COMPLETE MENU! Make additions to the menu, introduce new cuisines, but how can you think about removing everything which has made you a household name in the city since decades! I just do not have a clue what brainless management decided to do this. Even if they want to realise a new dream of an upbeat cafe, just open a new one! YOU CANNOT CALL IT MARKSMEN ANYMORE, IT IS CHEATING AND FOOLING people in broad daylight. Its like selling a completely new product under the exact same packaging, which definitely misguides the consumers. PS - They have their cloud kitchen running with the older menu, so if you order from Swiggy or Zomato, you can save yourself from the disgrace.
We had the veg burger and fried rice with veg Manchurian. Although the burger bun was soft,I didn't like the patty much . The Chinese was however extraordinary good...it's unmissable of you visit here,will definitely order again! Not to mention staff is very polite and service is good.

The place has gone a tremendous makeover. The interiors are good. You can probably go to this place on a non alcoholic date. The place have moreover family vibes. So you can go with you friends and family. Not very pocket friendly but it's fine to go once in a while. Dishes and little overpriced, extra charges for water! Seating is limited maximum to accommodate 15-20 people.

Interior is pretty good , we ordered tea & sandwich which was good in taste and as well as fresh. Although it took time to get items ready but it's ok, I was till mid day place is quite & eye catching.
