God saved Markandeya from a severe danger from Sea. The place where God saved Markanda is known as Markandeya, the holy place, on that particular spot Markandeya remained on meditation for a long time. At this place a Shiva Temple was constructed by sage Markandeya. The ancient Markandeswar Shiva Temple is situated in the Markandeswarstreet by the side of the Markandeswar tank, to the north of the Jgannath Temple.

Is a best place to visit it have a big pool I ever seen in my entire life it have a pic pond and can see lot of fish there so many people gather to Fun and organised sub kind of enjoyment and a group discussion also it have a good Mahadev temple and big Mahadev statues it providing lot of happiness and integrity with spiritual happiness so many peoples are coming together and discuss about their problems and get the solutions also there some shop available to buy any kind of things and it close to Shree Lord Jagannath Temple and please when you come to Puri almost visit the place It will be admire you and you feel so much proud and wondering what is it basically it providing for spiritual knowledge and best view of a big pond there so many locals live there they can help peoples and so many ritual concept arrange there when Kartik Purnima arrive so many people gather in in mass populations and boat flowing there with some kind of ritual songs in Indian rituals and their also but into the pond and pray to the God giving happiness to their families they say please God help me to get all kind of spirituality from this month and give me that to grow our family happy and healthy forever when you come to Puri I believe you almost go there and visit the Mahadev statue it can give you lot of happiness of the Statue of Mahadev it can sitting on the Mandap and the Mandap is big so you can sitting there and pray to the God also there have a big fikes bangle tree can providing lot of shadow so you can feel cold there because of the week fond and it is to near of the Shree Lord Jagannath temple thank you come again and visit.......
