Had a really nice time with family and friends. The beach is really large with lots of local vendor and shops for petty items. There are also road side and beach side stalls for sweet babycorn, fish, sea food and pearls, oysters etc. There are original conch available of high quality. The communication to the place is very good with BST buses all around and the bus stand just adjacent. There are autorikshaws and Uber for personalized Transportation. Further ahead of Marina beach there are lot of malls to go to. The Amma memorial is just beside the beach with it's foundation laid down and a mighty project concept .
One of the longest beaches in India. Marina beach Chennai is amazing place to visit when you are visiting Chennai. Use metro to reach there otherwise taxi are way too expensive

The best time to visit this beach is from late evenings through the night. The sand dunes are very beautiful and you can see the textures of human feet all across it. Another main attraction of Marina Beach is its late night food stalls -- all over the beach. Try the cauliflower pakoras If you want to take a public dip -- well, that's also allowed in here ( some areas ) It is open 24*7 Definitely a paradise for all beach loving extrovert souls.
