Private residence and museum of Raja Rajendra Kumar Mullick. the palatial house is a must visit for curio lovers. various paintings of western artist of renaissance period along with various marble sculpture imported from paris & italy kept here. all varieties of italian marble used to decorate inlay flooring of this palace, thus the name "Marble Palace", hosts of birds and few deers are kept for display in the zoo. visitors must have tickets from the tourism dept. of W.B prior visit.
The zoo doesn't have much animals. You will get to see some ordinary deers, barking deer and different types of bird. The speciality about this place is the palace and its interior. The palace awsome with many amazing artifacts everywhere inside the palace's halls and rooms. You will just love it.
Though they don't have lots of birds and animal but they have 16 of spotted dear 3 barking dear and some Malabar hornbill and golden pheasant
Not much in the zoo though the main palace/mansion is a magnificent collection of European artifacts
This place is closed since 2020. I visited this place based on Google's timings but on the gate it's written it's closed indefinitely.
Today I have visited to Marbel palace but unfortunately it was closed due to unavailable circumstances since 2020. It was not updated in any search engine. Still is showing open. Kindly take some necessary action to update the same.
It was really fantastic . I was totally lost with the animals of the Marbel Palace Zoo. I just loved it. It was lovely!
Marble palace is a must watch in Kolkata. Though it is quite unknown to many people, the palace is extraordinary from both inside and outside. Entry is not always allowed. One has to convince the security guards. Otherwise ask them the procedure for a written permission to enter. The palace from outside is marvellous. It has lawn and zoo along with it. But the zoo currently don't have animals. The greatest interest will be the collectibles inside. Original painting by world famous artists, artifacts, sculptures from all over the world is present.
