Mapusa market is main market of North goa .you can get each and every thing here. There have sabji mandi, fruit wholesale market, fish market . Clothes low to High standard. Footwear shops. Grocery market. Fish market have huse variety of fish. The market open 8am to 8pm. They have lunch break gap. Market is closed in Sunday. You have to bargain everything. If you are not local people, seeing you they increase prices.

Good market to shop at. You can buy veggies, sausages, fruits, fish, plants, gardening items, bedsheets, pots and everything else under the sun. This place is busy as hell, I was there on a Friday and it was packed with people. My advice to you would be to park your car way before the market because finding parking for a Car is very very tough and for bikes it is easier.

The local flavour of everyday life is captured in this Goan marketplace. Chillis, fruit, local spices, utensils and so on at great prices! It is a purely local market so not for those used to high end markets. For me,a must on every visit to Goa to get chillis and kokum and sources, pottery and so on!

It is a big market with multiple entry points. Requires time and bargaining skills to make purchases here. There are shops for vegetables, fruits, seafood, clothes, footwear, eyewear, spices, kitchenware, sweets and so on. Vehicles are not allowed inside the market and should be parked outside any of the entry points. Not good for elderly and kids as place is crowded and roads are uneven at certain places.

Market has all the stuff needed.. I am from mumbai and I purchased pats masala from Louisiana stores. Also I bought the small chilies traditionally used in goan curries. I also bought dry fish which was very tasty.
