You can reach the end point with a car or a 2 wheeler. Must visit when you visit Angelo fort.

It is about 3 km from Kannur main town. It is a fish landing centre for the boats. Facility for auction is also available. It is very close to Kannur Fort. Those who have seen fishing harbours, there is nothing special to see. But try to go there in the evening. The Ambukkallu(ampukkll) region is one of the best areas to see a sun set.

Mappila Bay is one of the 2nd largest fishing harbor in Kerala situated in Heritage Landscape of kannur City and having a blessed ambiance with a great beauty of nature. most important destination in the Arabian Sea since many centuries. Kannur City Port destroyed after economical shift happened in Kannur City after British Colonialism and later Railway developed , and unfortunately plague decease also affected once in early nineteenth century.
