MANZILAT'S - Non Vegetarian Restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

A very good and unique experience, should definitely try this place. Book in advance. The owner is very sweet and welcoming. The staffs are very friendly as well. The ambience is amazing as well especially during the night. There are a lot of plants on the terrace, hence you might occasionally encounter a rats or a lizard.

We got biriyani, galawti kabab and firni pre-ordered 2 days before with 2 biriyanis for takeaway. Even though the items are overpriced, it was a pleasant dining experience. Service was pretty fast, there was no one else at the time. The biriyani had less oil, 2 tiny pieces of mutton, 1 potato and tasted great. Galawti kabab melted in the mouth and the firni was smooth. However, the major disappointment was that in one of the biryanis we had for takeaway had no meat or potatoes whatsoever. They responded and refunded for the same.

Teste is very good & A different taste than everyone else. We order murgh biriyani, chicken chaap & firni. Firni's teste is much better than Arsalan or aminia.awesomeWe enjoyed alot for this amazing ambience to take our lunch. In my opinion to others if people is too much foody one biriyani is probably not enough for it. Order 2 plate it's better.Thank you for giving such a beautiful teste madam "Manzilat"

Visited this place for lunch, had pre-ordered all the items beforehand only. We ordered Fish chatpata, Galawati kebab, Shahi mutton biryani, Yakni pulao and Firni. The food was pretty average to be honest and Firni was the best item out of the lot. But I wanted to mention some serious issues about this place: 1. With Galawati kebab we asked if Paratha can be complementary. The owner very arrogantly responded that they don't know which restaurant does that but they will not do it. I have seen famous restaurants give this. 2. We were asking the servers for everything including tissue paper, bottle of water. 3. We were mostly seving all the dishes by ourself only. But when the main course came we asked the servers to serve us on which they replied they are pretty new and can't do it. Very poorly trained staff. 4. Even though we ordered every item 2 days before, almost all the items were arriving pretty late. 5. There was one item callles Khus ka sharbat which we initially ordered but later cancelled, for which we have a proof in whatsapp chat. The owner didn't see that and were going to serve us the drink. When we declined, she became furious and behaved very rudely with us. Most of the restaurants repeat the orders because people gets confused while ordering. But it was not done. Lastly would like to say it is only over-hyped place and would not recommend anyone to visit here. With this kind of behaviour will not visit again.

The food was really delicious.good in quality. And heaven for biriyani lovers . And must try firni and galawati kabab .

This is the most disappointing experience I ever had dining out. The food is overrated but the place isn't. They have a lovely terrace decked with fairy lights and plants, best enjoyed in winters. Do note that it's on the fourth floor with no lift. Do note that you cannot walk in and one needs to pre-book. I am shocked by the rating, wonder if I simply got unlucky or if the new age influencers lack total knowledge of cuisines which I suspect they really do since not a single dish was satiating or palatable to me. Note - we tried 80% of the dishes from the menu. Dishes we tried: Galouti kebab - sour and burnt Chicken shammi kebab - over powering smell of fennel Chicken rezala - gravy was good but the chicken was bland. Chicken chaap - average, again the chicken was bland. Yakhni pulao - this is the worst of dishes, with 0 flavour and boiled mutton pieces. Didn't feel it was cooked in yakhni at all! Biriyani - any road side Kolkata biriyani tastes far better Handi Fish - too many whole spices that confuses one. Phirni - Average Raita - was served spoilt We spent over 7k for a pax of 8 people. Totally not worth visiting even for the first time.

The place is really overrated, the taste of the food is regular 'dal chawal'. The quantity also very less one dish is designed for one person only. I just felt going to a friend's house from minority religion for a regular dinner after study or meeting. Nothing special. Even in friend's house you will get more quantity. Raita served in small shot glass, no extra raita you can expect here. The rooftop is green and full of light, clam and peaceful. I would suggest it's a one time go place if you really wish to. Otherwise make it on your own is a better idea.
